    I hate it and it sucks-My old bass player is almost 60 and a lush-drinks all the fuking time and looks 20 years younger than eddie-Hmmm... Maybe DLR was right by saying eddie is a meth addict-Hope not but I have seen teeth like that on some meth heads????

      Yeah that's a big rumour going around now, that Ed is a meth head. Gotta admit, he looks likes one of those, before and after pics they post of meth addicts all the time. That is one messed up drug. I have known a few people who have gotten hooked on that shit. You can always smell one when they are around you, that real chemical/petrol type smell. Grosses me out, plus nothing funner than watching people take things that aren't broken apart to fix em.

          Ewwwwwwwww man I sure hope not ..that would be just sad...I know people like to "escape" reality now and then...but too often people just take it too far..

          I kinda can relate due to "pain"..I try to keep myself in check..for my family's sake.

          Maybe he feels like he lost too much..health, career, wife and kid in a divorce..maybe ...the way it looks anywhoo...maybe he threw the towel..I think. [img]/images/graemlins/confused.gif[/img]

          I bought a Rick Wayman album with Ed on it a couple years ago..I guess it's a friend of his..that may not be the right name...but it wasn't very flattering for his playing...

          OK E's Ed sample is done now..I'm going to check it out as the pessimist that I am...so I won't be too disappointed...

          I'll check back after hearing it..

            OK, just listened to that trade off jam with Steve and Ed...it didn't change my opinion of him at all...I found Steve's parts a bit more articulate ..Ed just pulled out all his "usuals"...it wasn't bad..more of the same but a bit "tired" to my ears now...and his tone was lacking and that is something I NEVER said about the MASTER of tone..so...that's my take.

            so I'm actually MORE bummed after I heard it..due to the tone and his "go thru the motions" playing...it seemed he got lazy and lacks that "fire" he once had.

              Bill I wouldn't worry about his tone on that too much because I have all the collabra albums ya know the Guitar Wars and Guitar Battle and all that shit. Wheter it's Petrucci, Lynch, Morse, Reb, Lukather or whoever, the tone is always not impressive.

                  Not doubting he could still outplay us all with one hand tied behind his back, but he's just looking like all his years of partying are really catching up to him quickly. It is quite sad actually...but he brought a lot of it on himself.

                    The one thing that bugs me the most... his teeth.
