    Speakin of cheesey 80's stuff...

    ...I just watched "Shocke 'em Dead" the other day for the first time. I loved it, thinkin about watching it again tonight. [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]

    This must be like 80's mega-dose week for me... [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

    I gotta get rid of HORDES of old 80' stuff man..

    I accumulated after 25 years of collecting "metal"...

    stuff like King Kobra/Icon/Tigertailz/Tora Tora/Killer Dwarfs/Big Mouth/220 Volt/Lillan Axe/Heavy Pettin/Heaven and hundreds more..

    I can't listen to this stuff anymore..I just can't..it's way to dated for me..for me.

    I keep this stuff because I had it since new and it's somewhat "sentimental" because that's what my wife and I listened to when we met...not even she likes this stuff anymore..we got married in 1987 ..the HEYDAY for this stuff...and I bought and still have most of it.

    For us..it's just like watching a cheezy 80's teen movie now..with the kids wearing red Michael Jackson jackets, square afros and hand clap samples...

        Well I know alot of this out of print stuff goes for some good money on the Bay..I know because I bought some of it from there..and I'm always seeing this stuff over there while shopping for metal.

        I won't give it away...BUT I will sell it to friends here very very reasonable..So. [img]/images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

                Man i watched one of Vinnie vincent's viseos the other day...i love 80s stuff so much yet i was only born in 1985..maybe i was exposed to it in the womb or summin but some of it is soo cool, especially some of the riffs....
                ..bill i've seen some tigertailz lps around ...what are they like? they seem quintessentially 80s rock but i haven't heard any...i'd be interested in quite alot of it probably...can u even begin to copntemplate some sort of list so we can look at whatcha got...i'm also after vinnie moore, tony macalpine, jason becker, marty friedman lps too if you have any...man they my fave instrumentalists...i love the melodic stuff...but yeah anything cheesy i'm bound to like!!

                  Probably because in the 80s music was fun. All this depressing shit started with Nirvana in the 90s.

                        Guys I have ALOT of metal..that grumpy Sanata stuff as well as all the stuff you love.. [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

                        I have about 5000 cds to go thu..

                        There will be some instrumental stuff that I will keep...because those player you just mentioned were some of my faves as well..and because they are instrumental..they remained somewhat "timeless.."

                        Tigertailz..is upbeat, Early Motely Crue-ish band from England ..with a somewhat "better"..more VH-ish guitarist...well he tapped..so.

                        I got stuff like Autograph with Steve Lynch..who had a column in GW in the mid to late 80's and is one hell of a tapper..very Van Halen-ish indeed..more so that Vitto Bratta IMO..I seen both live..

                        I'll get a list together..all the cds are MINT..I keep my shit pristine..or I don't keep it..

                        There are some stuff I won't let go such as Rough Cutt and stuff..I still like that !! [img]/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img]
