    Zakk-type watchbands - where to?

    Years ago I had a black watch band like this:



    And have been unable to find them for a reasonable price ($40 is NOT reasonable, leather or not).

    Anyone know where I can find similar items (other than the local fetish shop? [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img])

    Anyone find a stockpile of wide leather guitar straps that can be turned into this type of watchband? I've got one old black leather Rhoads-style strap, but was going to give it the Rhoads treatment (with whatever I had left from making the Halford Warrior [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img])

      a word of caution: many state laws have been changed regarding those style of watchbands. i know that with the purchase of a watch band like that, many states have madated the additional purchase of either an el camino with an "ass, grass, or gas; nobody rides for free" bumper sticker, a chevy econoline panel van complete with "hot viking chick fucking a tiger on a mountain" graphic on the side, or a gold 73 gran torino with at least one quarter panel consisting of bondo and old primer.

                  I had that exact watch band ..in the 5/6th grade..wow I haven't seen one of those since!!!

                  I still have my old Motorcycle chain belt my dad gave me for my 15th B-day..it fits around my leg now..

                  OH..I also have a original 1978 VH Belt Buckle..the first album logo..I still have it!!!! [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

                  OH, NEWC..You know what I got and it's in PERFECT condition...a MINT 1972 digital watch...the push button red faced kind..it cost $80 at the time from Sears..I still got it in the original box...would that be worth anything...I'd assume it would..I replaced the battery in in a couple years ago and it still works great..the battery died again since..that would be perfect with a band like that...same era.                       Geez, I have shelled out $200 for a good strap before.

                      You think guitar collecting is expensive and addictive? Don't even start on watches......
