didn't we have this discussion last month?
Sending a text is handy for me if I need to get information to my wife while she is at work. She can't keep her phone with her, but if she swings by her bag she can quickly check for texts, otherwise my text will be waiting for her when she finishes her shift. Plus it's quicker/easier than having to dial in for voicemail.

Email's fine, voicemail's fine, it's the "chat" thing I don't get (as in realtime live one-to-one chat like you're in a chatroom).
Email and such is like being on the JCF - you post a message or send a PM and someone comes by. Chat is sitting there typing in a message, sending it, then waiting for the reply which comes almost immediately. That stuff in a phone I just don't get.
I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood
