Berlinetta (sp) Back in the '60's we raced slotcars. And Revell and others put out all those designs. If you want a blast from the past get those 1/32 cars. This was when they went to closed bods and covered wheels. Every time I see them I buy them. Also watch for the 1/24 cars. They are just great. Like this http://cgi.ebay.com/WOW-1964-REVELL-1-32...1QQcmdZViewItem And this will go for good bucks. The SWB, or Short Wheelbase Berlinetta, was used for all types of sports car racing in its day...and it IS indeed, a beauty...very Aston in its appearance, or is it the other way around?m

I loved that car, but all in all selling it was one the best moves I ever made. I was able to take the cash from that sale along with a Maserati Mexico that I sold at about the same time and get the hell out of Los Angeles, I used it to buy some real estate in FL that I later sold and bought my cattle ranch. Cars are kinda like guitars you can't keep em all,

Some of the older Ferraris have the greatest lines. A personal favorite of mine is the Dino 246 GT, aka chairs n' flares.

Ah yes, the Dino. It's not technically a Ferrari though is it. Wasn't it badged as a Fiat?

Some great cars in this thread...my faves are the American muscle (GM especially). Some cool imports as well. Here is my all time favorite:

'63 Split Window Coupe w/FI 327, 360HP.

I believe the make was Dino (named after Enzo Ferrari's son)and the model 246GT. They couldn't bring themsleves to call something with only 6 cyl. a Ferrari, as the story goes.

Re: Beautiful-est car ever!

I had to look this up -
"When the three Dino models – two Fiat, one Ferrari – were originally conceived, the intent was that they would form a separate marque, known simply as ‘Dino’, distinct from both Ferrari and Fiat lines... the Ferrari-built Dino 246 GT was introduced in 1969"
There were Fiat badged Dinos, but the 246 GT was only badged as a Dino, in spite of being built by Ferrari.
Blah, blah, blah. It's curvy and gorgeous, whatever it's called.

The 63-65 has always been my favorite years for the vette.
I know I will never be able to afford one, but one can always dream.

I sold my 67 corvette roadster to buy my house back in '86. The guy wrecked it within 3 months. Sucked for him!!
