    OK, Bill...for me, the ultimate Cobra is the original, before Carrol juiced it with Steroids. Give me the Slabside any day.

    And, WHERE do you think the English came up with the styling for the AC Ace? They stole it from the Italians, of course!!!



    The first generation flared out was also quite pretty.

    Sleep. The sound doesn't collapse to riffs of early eyes either.

        Well, you young pups, I got a ride in a "real Cobra" It was either "64 or "65. The 289 Cobra not the bulimac (sp) ones A friends Dad gave me a ride. It was a thrill. I had a shot at a AH 3000, but mommy wouldn't buy it for me. The best shot I had was buying an XKE for $5,000. There was only one problem. Once I got into it, at 6'6", I couldn't do anything. There is a '63 Riviera up the street that is way cool. Now that I have the money, I can't fit into the SOB. Size does matter.           Years back, my dad had a Superformance Cobra with HP and TQ at or around 500. That thing was vicious!

              Zeegs..since there is very few Cobras out and about..I always..always park my baby by those Austin Healys..they are about the same size..I like 'em!

              I like the juiced up Shelby version myself, tho I really appreciate the original, but seems a little too "bland" in looks..but they ALL look so "curvy"..I refer to Cobras as female because of those curves!! [img]/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img]

              Guys..I think think the Cobra is the funnest car out there..I have no top, no windshield wiper, no stereo (yet) ..when you luanched it from a dead dig..it just makes you laugh everytime ..like a "thrill" ride...he took me for a ride in my baby before I bought it..I already knew I wanted it when I met her...my dad was going to buy it if I didn't..

              EVERYONE I have ever took for a ride just laughs...it tickles your stomach...the 0-60 accelration is just fuckin' sick...but it's bare bone 302..a Vorteck will do that a whole lot of awesome..

              But I just learned how to drive a stick last summer with this thing..so I learned how to walk before I can run...and I almost lost it a few times..accidently grarbing third instead of fifth at full throttle..they're postions are so close together...my buddies didn't like that too much [img]/images/graemlins/eek.gif[/img]

              it holds the ground better tan ANY Vette I ever had or driven..BIG TIME and I had that Z-51 handling package in mine!!

              There's no fuggin' weight to it..when you kick it in the ass..it's so responsive..it's just insane..like I said I wish I could take all of you for a ride..I'm so proud of her..well it just puts a smile on my face..and that is something I desperately need these days..that's why I bought her...I had to...yeah it was expensive..but like I said..they don't lose their value in the slightest..unless you F it up pretty badly..they just go up in value..they do NOT depreciate..not at all!! [img]/images/graemlins/nono.gif[/img]

              Not like buying a new Camaro, Vette, Viper, Charger,Mustand or any other "production" car..so you may want to give that a thought (I did)..I was goint to buy a C6..besides a bone stick Cobra Repla would eat all the above..this is true!!

              Yeah I know I'm bragging...but I spent my communion money on this thing and it is worth EVERY fuggin' penny to me!!

              You know you can get a free DVD at Factory Five and see exactly how these were designed..and then watch them perform..that sold me right there..you should see it!!

              just ask for a free DVD..and you'll get one in a few days..

              Mike, John and anyone who is mechanically inclined can put one of these together..all the parts are pre-fabbed..all you need is a drive train, paint and tires..you can make some good money building and selling these things..a brand new kit finished goes anywhere from 35-55K...The Superperformance is much higher..but definitely not worth the difference...I've talk to quite a few SP ownvers that agreed..they look pretty identical..one dude paid Carol Shelby 200 bucks to autograph his glove box in silver sharpie..mine desn't a glove box..that's an extra..I can't believe CS actually charged him that...that was disapointing to me in a way..I wouldn't do it..but it prolly added "some" value to the car....and 200 bucks worth of bragging rights..

              the only difference from a repla...like the one DD3keegs posted..is that they are prettier and more hi-tech in construction..they look perfect..they are fiberglass instead of pounded aluminum..which gives it a smooth look..like glass!!!

              The Cobra..to me, is the epitome of American Muscle and design!!

              Guys here the link..there is a cobra on there that TRULY identical..'cept mines a brighter yellow..on the main page...just keep hitting "refresh" until you see the yellow one..that's mine..same everything!!

                        There it is guys..that's my Cobra..my paint is a little "brighter"..but that is it..every screw and bolt...and they only do the "black" trim with yellow ...yellow is the only one that never goes with the chrome trim..I guess it just looks good on yellow...the jackstand bumpers, the roll bar , the side pipes!

                        oops..that one has windshield wipers..but notice there's no top..so WTF!! [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

                              Old Vettes Rule..my good friend had to sell his '62 red convertible to pay off his divorce..he was so depressed!!

                              So he moved to Tampa Florida.. hooked up with a hot sugar momma and she bought him a brand new red 2000 C5 convertible for his Birthday...!!!

                              They have a indoor pool..yes she's loaded..he struck gold!!
