Re: is a 15\" radius neck small or large?
I've seen this question asked quite a bit, so here's a little diagram I did to help explain "fretboard radius".
This thread should probably be in the tech Q&A section.My goal in life is to be the kind of asshole my wife thinks I am.

The back of the neck can be most any shape independent of the fretboard radius. The radius describes how curved the actual freboard is (not the neck shape)."Yes,..that's when they used to shove a red hot spike in your peehole until you screamed "yes, yes, godammit ..you fuggin' dicks..I'm a witch..I am witch..you cocksuckers"" horns666

[ QUOTE ]
the radius is simply the arch of the fretboard.

This is the most simplied and accurate answer. Kudos.
If there ever was Q&A that nailed it dead on, this would be the one.
Fretboard = radius = higher number = straight/flatness.
Back of neck profile/shape = Fatter/wider, roundness even flatter would be an acceptble reference to the neck profile.
Warmoth's web site offers various neck profiles.
Should go read and check it for better understanding.Peace, Love and Happieness and all that stuff...

I personally do not care how it was built as long as it is a good playing/sounding instrument.
Yes, there's a bee in the pudding.
