I wanna know how you guys go about compensating for the output difference in neck and bridge pickups in a HSS guitar...i really wanna just be able to flick between the two in as hassle-free a way as possible, but want output from my singlecoil to match...i don't want to fit a humbucker as i prefer the sound of a singlecoil in there...how u guys match up?

I use the EMG SPC in my SL1 to beef up the single EMG SA in the neck to get a humbucker type sound. It works really well in my opinion. It works with active and passive pups I believe.....

As far as ease of use... you will have to turn the knob on the SPC up when you shift to the neck pup and then turn it down when switching back to the bridge pup. A little difficult at first, but you get use to it.

hmmm ok i was thinking more interms of using a boost pedal when flicking to the singlecoil...
