• Bad Religion

I have many of their CDs, but haven't listened to them in a while. I put on Against the Grain tonight. These guys are kickass! I really don't know why I haven't listened to them in a while. It's "thinking man's punk" for lack of a better pidgeonhole. Simple, but catchy, and melodic, and they write good songs. It's a good bet that Greenday, Blink 182, Sum 41, etc., etc., were all influenced heavily by them.

Absolutely. If Against the Grain doesn't get you into them, then nothing will. It's not that their other albums aren't as good, but ATG has so much damn energy, and a real life to it. This is not your teenage daughters idea of punk. Actually, if you don't like it, then you probably don't like real punk.

Suffer is a classic, and I REALLY liked the Empire Strikes First.

For a first though, I'd probably recommend the 80-85 compilation.
I friggin' love the band.

The compilation is good, but with it being such a span of years, and some live tracks thrown in there, the production varies too much I think. It's not really cohesive enough to get a good initial feel for the band. Just my opinion. No Control and Generator are 2 more of my favourites.

One of my fave bands. Got most of their albums and dig 'em all. Greg Gaffin is one hell of a singer too.

I listen to All Ages periodically, and New America man what an underrated album. Great music and lyrics, Greg Graffin kicks ass indeed.

My faves besides the entire New America are: American Jesus, 21st century digital boy, Sanity, Faith Alone, The Answer, Strange Denial, hell they have so many great ones...I could go on

I think they're awesome! Though, I only own the live cd "Tested". I could listen to American Jesus over and over again.
