so...how in the fvck would I open this case?

I got my new guitar today but it seems as though the case is locked.

I was not given a key for it




the one latch is slightly lifted so I tried to pry it open with a key, but I didn't want to do any damage to the case.


any ideas?

Hey sometimes you have state the obvious first. We wouldn't want him to destroy the case if all he had to do was slide the button.

nah...but seriously...these locks are *pretty* easy to jimmy open with a paperclip. Just be patient, and you'll get it open, and most likely without damaging the lock.

Try using the key from one of your other cases.

I broke a case like that by prying into it. I had no freakin' clue that the whole lock slot would slide.

Hehe. I had a Carvin G&G case with the slide lock, and every briefcase I've seen has that lock, too. I guess some people have never seen a sliding lock like that. [img]/images/graemlins/crazy.gif[/img]
