Hmmm.... wow, you look really familiar. The name Thunderin' Reign ring any bells? lol well, we did ring that one bell that tolled... for whom, I don't know.
I'm gonna rip a few of our old songs and post them up on my site one of these days soon.
Yep... the band name rings bells, but remember, when you work in a club 4 nights a week, one tends to hear a lot of band names. I'm positive I've seen your band play.
I could swear I saw you guys play with Necropolis (QR Cover band) once or twice.
It has been almost 14 years, so my memory is a bit foggy from back then.
Congratulations Annah! Writing a book is a major accomplishment, and your story will oipen many people's eyes, I believe.
I am one of them. I didn't really know your situation until you posted about the Discovery special that featured you. Didn't get to see it since I didn't get that channel, but it still gave me a lot to think about.
I would describe my feelings on the issue as ambivalent prior to realizing that you were in that situation. Having gotten to know you a little here, and experiencing your persona and your music, I think it opened up my outlook towards the phenomenon. You are a very cool, artistic person with a great outlook on life. Knowing someone like you puts a real face on what was an abstract concept, and I think you represent wonderfully!
Sorry if that sounds a little sappy, but I do think very highly of you. I will get the book when I can scrape up the cash, you can be sure of that! I hope it makes the bestseller list with a bullet!
This is awesome!...I remember when I was down there in Austin...you were only in the planning of it. The seed had been planted. Glad it's going to come to be! I have no doubts it will be awesome! The day or two I got to spend with you chatting about life and such was most inspiring, and insightful to say the least!
Hope to see you around here more often...I see you've ditched MySpace...and left your reasons why very apparent! I may bail on it too...I only check into it like once a month hyping a project that may never get off the ground now.
Wow, thanks you guys! I appreciate your warmth and kindness so much! I look forward to hearing your thoughts on the book. I'm sure you'll enjoy it, there is a LOT in it... some of it may even be TMI for some people LOL! But I think there are many questions people have about the subject that they are afraid to ask. So one of my goals is to answer them. I haven't read many books by other trans individuals that have delved into many of those things, so hopefully I'll be breaking some new ground.

NECROPOLIS! Yeah, I'm sure we played with those guys. We also played with Pelvic Meatloaf, H8 Inc., and damn, I can't remember some others. I'll dig out my flyers and ads and see what they are. Chris, our other singer, went on to sing for Corrosive. They played AZ for a while, then went their own ways. I think the most fun show we had was when we played at the Electric Ballroom (formerly After the Gold Rush) which is now closed, I think. The stage was huge and had that "pointy deejay booth cover-thingy" that we would run out on. What a blast! Those were good times.
After the Gold Rush... there's a name I haven't heard in ages... it became the Cathouse for a brief period as well before Rachman pulled the plug on it.
And yea.. those were the good times indeed.
Can't wait to read your book. I'll definately want a signed copy for sure!
I may be just a lil slow... When you say online bookstores it is still being printed it isn't only available in PDF right? I hope it is available in printed format. I have a hard time reading e-books That being said if it is an e-book I will still read it.

congrats Annah.. writing a book.. well if I were to compile all the post it notes and pieces of paper I have happened to jot on..it may take years to transfer it onto the computer and a bit more to format it all.. so, in light of that perspecitive.. major accomplishment. It takes organization and focus. I'm still working on getting originals formated to file.
