Yeah we got the power back about 4 am after the tornado. There's still a lot of areas that will be without power for weeks at least, and Carruthersville Missouri (right across the MS River) still looks like an Air Strike Zone.
I work with a guy who lives there and he noted the news media was pretty quick to announce numbers of dead/injured/property damage in TN, but there was not one word about Carruthersville - just the 3 in other parts of MO who died. He figured it was way bad since it was so quiet in that regard.
He also said Carruthersville is under Martial Law and controlled by the local National Guard - there's a dusk-to-dawn curfew (most likely because of the Casino, since I don't think they have a major port on the Mississippi right there), and no one gets in or out without clearance.I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood
