Why so many guitars

my 2 main guitars are my 1989 custom rhoads and my 03 RR5. I could only imagine trading my RR5 towards an RR1T of similar configuration,otherwise, its got too much mojo to lose.

I have a DXMGT, Charvel Fusion Custom, KE-3 and a JS-20 that I dont play much since I moved out to college. I honestly havent even opened my KE3 case in MONTHS. I feel bad, but I usually just play the DXMGT when I go home.

my mexican tele is my fave for bluesy classic stuff, but my charvie model 4 is my most favourite neck...but tele is the most fun to play with

I actually envy players who have a "number one" guitar.
Sometimes I play some of my guitars because I hate them so much. Its like guitar abuse.

When I was gigging, I would bring 2 USA RR's and one Gibson. I tended towards one of my Explorers or my LPC. My 81 V came out occasionally too.

I can never, or rather, rarely bring myself to sell a guitar. I have only done so out of financial hardship.

I can't pick just one as 'the one' though. I like 'em all.

Man, I bought and sold many guitars, some that I thought were gonna be my dream guitar, but in the end they are all gone. My next venture is a G&L ASAT Classic which I really do like and a custom SL2H. I still miss my Explorer, but don't want to spend money on another Gibson again, so I might pony up the dough and grab an ESP explorer. Hell, they come and go man, no matter how much I love em. I'd rather sell my guitars, which are like my kids, than be in debt, which unfortunatly is the only reason I don't have any of those guitars any more. If I had no debt...I dunno, I might have kept em

When I was gigging full time in the early 80's I only owned 2 guitars. One was a really beat 1968 Gibson SG that used to have a Bigsby on it. I dropped it opening up for Twisted Sister and the headstock split in 2.
I also owned a 1st year Kramer Pacer American with a top mount OFR and 2 humbuckers. It was metallic red with a maple/maple neck. I bought it brand new. It was my first brand new guitar and I had been playing for around 6 years at the time.
When the SG broke I bought a new Aria Pro II Urchin. That was a pretty good guitar actually. For amps.. I only had 1. A Hiwatt 120w head and 2 Marshall red 4 x 12 cabinets loaded with JBL's. For effects I owned an MXR Distortion +, a Phase 90 and an old echoplex. That was all my gear. I thought it was a ton of gear at the time.
I guess my number one back then was my Kramer Pacer.
It seems that alot of JCF'rs number ones are Kramers!
Technically, my number 1 at home is my 7-up green 275dlx until I get the new neck for my N2.

Ah dude, ya don't gotta tell me twice. I had a Legacy HB which I sold because my school was knockin my door asking for their money. The L2000 basses I've played with are awsome and versitile pieces, and if all goes well, I might have a Asat Classic in the very near future. But I'm looking for the metal axe to hold over that side of me, and a SL2H or KV2 might be the only way to do it

I like my Jackson SL3 2005 model year. It's red. It played incredible and I love spending time with it. But I don't know if I can call it "THE ONE"

Over the years I have owned a 1970 Fender Strat, 1990 Fender Strat , 1985 Charvel Model 3, 1968 Gibson Melady Maker , and a 1984 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe in Tobacco Burst. All had there special place in my heart. I sold everything years ago due to lack of Intrest of playing. I just got back into it and It took forever and a day to find the "right one" guitar. The Jackson SL3 did it for me but I don't really care for the Floyd Rose system. Actually I liked my Charvel Model 3's Kahler system better.

I played a Jackson SL2H and it was very nice but I liked the SL3 better and it costs less. about 500.00 less. I thought the Sl2h would have sounded better and played better, but to me it didn't.

One day I gotta play a SL1. I also would like to look at a NON tremelo Jackson Strat Body. One day I may find my"THE ONE"

For now my SL3 will do. I think I will go play her. She is calling me.

Personally, I have about 25 "too many." Why did I buy so many? Because I could. Do I need that many? No.

Like so many others, I get caught up in the moment and think I've just got to own just one more. I'd like to get rid of about twenty, but they're like children. Wait, then it should be easy!

My number one has been my number one since 1991. It's my EBMM Morse. I compare everything I play to that guitar and its sound, feel and playability. It never sits idle for more than a couple of days. It was with me through college, the passing of my father, my marriage, playing my children to sleep when they were babies, comfort for me during times of illness...everything.

It's nice to have a number one.

My Cobalt Blue SL2H. First guitar I've had for more than a year without getting sick of it. I like it now more than I did when I first got it, though I'm sure I'll have to sell it at some time of desperation and then end up looking back in regret for the rest of my life.

'75 strat body non recessed trem w/ a '82 warmoth maple/maple 21 fret neck...modded w/ floyd parts, H/S/S and changed to a 4 bolt. I sold the large headstock neck in the 80's after hangin onto it for years. I just never cared much for the narrowness of those 70's large head strats but I miss the parts now! I wish I had that 3 bolt back as unstable as it was.
It has been with me for a long time..

I've been takin a liking to my BCRich StIII snakeskin too.

Jackson JRS-1 and my JRS parts mutt are runners up...as is a Charvel 750 & a Ibanez 770CSBF.. but really, it's a tough choice sometimes... I have a couple washburns that kick ass too.

I tend to play my Brawley threats around the house but they would be good gig guitars too.
