I have an old (from 1992) 1/2" 16 track reel that I need dumped to a digital format.
It's the first record my best friend and I ever cut, (5 song EP actualy).
Anyway, I was wondering if any of you guys out there can dump the tracks to a CD so I can (A), Save the tracks before the reel turns to mush, if it hasn't already, and (B), remaster it? There were a few parts that I've always wanted to redo.
I no longer have my reel to reel deck anymore, so I'm kinda stuck.
The reel is an Ampex 456 Gold 1/2" tape recorded at 15 ips. (we were trying to save money)![Big Grin](https://www.jcfonline.com/core/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
The tape has been properly stored and is not sticking to itself, but I don't know how longer before it will start to break down.
