I hear ya... my wife slammed the breaks on my watch habit years ago.
My workhorse watch is still me Seiko.
Had it for years and it's my daily driver so to speak.
It was only like $450 or so a few years ago, but worth every penny in realiablilty.
I started to collect cheap Looney Tunes character watches for a while there.
They were cheap but some were actualy pretty nice in quality, but it's not the same feeling as holding an original TAG 1000 in your hands.

Well, whoever said Rolex was the best...mid-tier my man.

              What do you have, Endrik?

Patek, JLC, AP, Lange, Roger Dubois, V&C, Glashutte Original??? Perhaps something from the AHCI guys? Journe? Maybe a Breguet?

I'm curious...always interested to hear what someone else thinks is the best watch in the world. I have my own opinion, of course....

                    Now you're talkin' some cash.

Those Cartier pricks are to pompus to even deal with.
Talk about people in need of getting over themsleves.
But yea... if you can afford one of those, you will "get your noodle wet"... provided the "Bim d'jour" ("Bimbo of the Day" for those playing the home game) knows what the hell it is.

Most girls only know Rolex, Cartier and TAG....they may know Omega. That is fine with me, I didn't wear a Patek 3998, a JLC Master Grand Taille, an 18k IWC Mk 12 or any of the other high end shit I used to have because I thought chicks would dig it.

If I wanted the chickies to dig my watch, I guess I would have gone for an 18k Santos or a President. However, I perfer quality over flash with watches.

                              Mike, you'll probably gonna laugh...

first let me say that I'm not an expert on watches.

The best watch in the world in my opinion is my Timex Expedition that my uncle gave me on my birthday when I was 12 or something.
                              It probably costs about 30$

It's a water resistant sports watch.

                              It hase gone thru hell.

I've been beaten the shit out of hit.
I've throwed it against the brick wall many times.
It has been beaten with the hammer.
Some karate dudes have trampled on it.
It has gone thru fire and ice.
It's been underwater for a long time.
It has tons of scrapes on it.
                              It has two buttons missing.
It has many plastic parts missing and broken.

                              BUT

                              It works PERFECTLY.
There is NOTHING wrong with it.
I can even dive with it anytime I want

                              My watch is LEGENARY here.
Absolutely EVERYONE asks the time from ME. Yes that's right, from me.
Everyone knows that my watch is ALWAYS right.
If I meet some friend who I haven't seen for a long time, they all are like "whoa dude, you still got that watch"

It looks like hell but I love to death

Get a grip guys, they are watches, what's the big deal? Why the hell would anyone spend so much money on a watch? You can buy a digital watch from Walmart for about $3, and it does the same thing.
