This is allegedly a drug-seized vehicle that has been outfitted as a police bike. I don't see any special lights, and the OHP sticker on the tank looks suspicious.
I don't see any indications in the photograph, that this has been been manipulated in photoshop. It has the usual blocky artifacts around sharp edges (stickers) but that's because of the jpeg format.
I looked at this image in photoshop and the american flag and sticker on the gas tank are definately artifically added. The STATE TROOPER text on the front mud guard is also a bit dodgy but that could be the fact that the state trooper text is in intense sunlight while the Highway Patrol text is in shadow. But the shadowing on STATE TROOPER does appear to be consistent.
Yeah the smoothing around the flag looks like it might be added, but the cop taking a pic with the cel phone and possible cop on the left (check the shoe type), plus the fact the light is shining on the tank and flag, and digital compression of the image, it's still difficult to swear either way.
Just the fact that the real driver is behind it in the picture tells me it's a fake. The cop is just taking a pic of it because you don't see one of the world's fastest conventionally powered bike every day. :p
Its not uncommon for police agencys to take drug seized vehicles and turn em into "official Vehicles" mostly for show purposes, they generally use em for drug awareness programs when they talk to to groups of school kids. a few years ago one of the local agencys had a hummer they seized and decked it all out in cop gear, and I believe they are still using it in their "AWARE" drug info program, Its gotta burn the guy in jail to see his car being used by the cops , oh well,
the flag sticker looks like it was added later, but the "highway patrol" sticker on the rear fender looks like it conforms to the bikes contours,

The flag and "patrol sticker" have definitely been added...can't understand why, but the rest look legit. As for daily use....doesn't need special lights...they can be hidden, like on an unmarked car. Unless you don't have unmarked cars out there in CA. Who the hell would ever expect a cop to come blazing up on you on a Busa?!....LOL! Right?
BUT, we do this all the time..we confiscate many nice toys that were bought thru ill gotten gains..DRUG money!!
WE have a black and white Vette ...the cop that writes the most tickets gets to drive it for a month..so basically the same 3-4 cops have been driving that Vette for years..
It was seized during a drug raid along with many Lbs of Coke and about a 1/4 Mill in cash..and a nice custom 4 X 4 that we use for D.A.R.E. programs at local schools..
So this stuff does happen...I'm sure there is a State Trooper or Local copper somwhere cruising on a seized Hayabusa!!
