I still wonder why the sticker is on the inside. But, I guess it didn't hurt their sales. I'll keep my eye out for the EVH model.
I am a true ass set to this board.

Vans actually don't last too long either (in my experience).

Dimebag wore'em, so they gotta be somewhat cool.

Didn't EVH have some that went about half-way up his shins?

They were the only shoe to wear in high school. The old ones made in the USA lasted a pretty long time. Now,they don't last at all.Back in the early 80's,all the metalheads I knew wore them........................................

Yeah suicidal grunge kid turned metalhead in the early nineties still wearing them nowdays here aswell. They're just too friggin cool, I went a whiles without them but not anymore. I picked up some leather ones and christ are they comfy! Also I dont know what people here do but damn do you guys go through shoes quick. I like 'em cause they last! And once broken in you can rag on them and the grubbiness is just 'character'.
They make great driving shoes too.
My slayer vans are cool also though! And you gotta have a pair of nikes or something for when theres excercise/sport/walking involved.

I doubt they're made in China Ron. Probably Indonesia or something.

Got my first pair when I was real young in the early seventies 73? 72? Can't remember exactly. Wore them out and wore nothing else from that point on. Family and school functions were a fight parent wise cause I would want to wear my black Chuck's. Somewhere around 1990 it got fashionable to wear them again by all the little "grungies" and Cobain wanna be's. That's when I stopped wearing them.

Wow, when I was a kid, you wouldnt be caught dead wearing these. These are some cheap ass sneakers with no arch support and the bottoms wear out super fast. Only the inner city poor kids wore these. I guess because they were like 10 bucks a pair. Amazing.

I had an all black pair of converse, very metal

Now, I have the Fender versions, if you play a Fender guitar then they are great.

Trouble is, in the UK, all the scene kids wear them, collectthem even. I swear I heard one girl the other day mention that she has enough pairs of converse to match whatever she is wearing, how sad is that?

they were cool when i was in grade school, I used to get different colors and then changes the laces to different colors. Being a sports kinda guy by the time I was in 5th or 6th grade I realized that Adidas, Puma and Nike were a million times better I've been wearing Nike ever snce the 7th grade, nothing else as far as athletic shoes go. Converser are really fasionable and trendy and for 10 bucks a pair and they came in every colo under the sky is cool, I still kike the looks of them but I wont wear them.
