Man, I used to sit in front of the tube tucking into a box of brown sugar and totally spaz out on Speed Racer when I was a kid! Remember the Mammoth Car? It was actually a huge truck with a bunch of trailers and a totally bitchin' horn (which would honk out its eerie echoing cry whenever the Mammoth Train, er, Car appeared)
**Spoiler Warning**
At the end of the harrowing race, it crashed into a volcano (!) or was it a boat (!!) and the heat slowly melted the thing until it was revealed (dramatic GASP!) that it was made of the stolen gold!
Of course we see a shot of the henchman running out of there holding their butts before it all goes up....not many henchman died on that show eh....
