  • Anybody actually look forward to going to work?

For the first time I actually look forward to going to work in my life.

I got a tech support job with a Local ISP.
The pay is decent, tho less than I've made for doing the same thing...

But I got some cool freedoms with this job...

I sit in a basement usually by myself, answer a few calls here and there...
I've got KNAC goin on my net radio...
Trillain going to hopefully chat away any excess boredom..
    Checkin my emails..

And of course.. JCF access =)...

    The owner loves me..
    Everybody here is cool..

Unfortunatley its only goign to last 3 months or so =(

So yeah, this is like the firsdt time I've ever woke up and not felt trapped into going to "another day at work"!

Its great. Its really helping reenforce the concept of higher education for me.. if I can go to school to do soemthing I enjoy/have soem personal freedoms/feel important...
I may not actually have to live up to the fear of tedious work life.

    Anybody else feel that way?

Well, congrats to ya on this job, kinda sucks it's only gonna last 3 months though. I've been working, but not making any money and I'm starting a job next week that's gonna pay me more than I ever made before, but I might hate the job. Still don't care though, more money, more guitars, and I'm making the move at the end of the year to go to a guitar building school, so all that outweighs the fact that I might not like this job. But yes, I'm excited about going to work. I work with good people too, a few friends, so it's gonna be a little comfortable

Oh yah, I LOVED going to work for my friend's guitar store, but the majority of the store's sales were internet and phone related, which did me no good. But I hung out, talked with people, played guitar and had fun at that place. I gotta wear dress clothes for this new job, which I'm NOT looking forward to. Haven't worn anything besides blue jeans and boots in years...

Man, I wish I could say that I look forward to going to work, but it's the opposite. Can't hardly stand it. I just do my time and go home. If I didn't need the $, I would have left a long time ago. I need a change! I'm sure it would be nice to enjoy work and look forward to coming in every day.

Hope your right about the clothes. It makes me nervous thinking about it. Mom dressed me up too much as a kid That's the same school I'm looking at too. The only thing with that is the classes go from 8-6 and there's an amp building course I wanna take too which is on Sat, so there's no possible way to work a job while there to support yourself. Saving the pennies so I have enough for a cheap roach motel to live in for a few months and enough to eat. Gonna be lots of fun though if I can have a sense of humor

Hopefully for the Sept classes, but probably next Feb. I'm waiting on some property to move in FL before I go so I have some $. I was reading through the information on the site and the financial aid site and it really won't cover nearly enough, so I'm thinking people that do this program just have to live there or have the cash. I'm looking into maybe a student loan so I can make it for the Sept classes. But hopefully the land I have down there will sell before I have to be in debt up to my eyeballs. Either way, I plan on going though
