tonight I jammed with a keyboard player I've been practicing with. we've played a few times and have about 5 songs down. keyboard and 12 string sounds pretty kickass.
then we went out to see her friend's band, they were really great. power trio, great drummer, the guitar player/singer Matt is her friend and he dominated, and sang great. anyway they played a good set of totally changed rocked out covers and their own stuff. Pet the Dog. go see em at a dive bar near you in LA. they killed.
the bass player also was awesome.
the second band was kind of a jam band, but their drummer was insanely good and fun to watch. looked like a fresh faced young kid with short hair, and holy shit he was basically Keith Moon Jr. super fast and having a great time doing it. just skills out the ass, he was so good. you can tell he played all the Who stuff coming up. good guitar and bass too, didn't get this band's name.
all in all a great night!
