Perhaps I should have emphasized the word "lot" in the first sentence. I'm not saying that there is no research being done. But you would have to agree that there are nowhere near the numbers compared to tradtional medical research. Either way, kudos to Harvard.

Hey sheep! Guess who funds the FDA (responsible for approving new drugs for both their efficacy and safety)? Yes, in a massive conflict of interest, the drug companies! University studies (yes, Ivy League) show that recent drugs that have been approved are neither effective nor safe. Yet, they are being marketed to you in huge ad campaigns, and many of your doctors are being paid off to prescribe them to you.

Where's the "beating a dead horse" smiley? I don't consider them legitimate until they complete proper studies that show the efficacy (yea! Merck knew before Vioxx was even initially formulated that its mechanism posed SERIOUS risks for cardiovascular events. Early trials proved this, but they buried it...fed the FDA a song and dance and kept cranking it out to the tune of over a billion a year in sales. Why? Cash. Useless drug, huge profit.
Why do you honestly think cancer has not been cured? AIDS? Because TREATMENT of these diseases far exceeds any profit you could derive from curing them....that is why.
MikeSleep. The sound doesn't collapse to riffs of early eyes either.

I think we agree more than I am able to explain via online posts My statements about alternatives not being legitimate in my eyes until they do proper double bind studies does not imply that all fda approved drugs are perfect.
Herbal remedies are good example. They are able to avoid the more strict requiremtns of fda approval by not making any medical claims. It's too bad the system is somewhat stacked against those potential medicines.
This link explains my beliefs more clearly than I care to type out

The fda and established medical systems are imperfect and stained by corruption and that is a sad thing. But, just thowing away the method used to determine if something actual works or not (scientific method) is the wrong path in my opinion.

What really are we trying to "cure" here? I am trying to flush out some parasites that I may or may not have, and I am trying to take some serious dumps. I am not looking for anything substantial...except dump quantity!

I don't think there is any doubt that this shit provokes some massive dumps.

I believe that a lot of the skeptical rhetoric against alternative therapies should be treated with, er, skepticism because of who's funding the status quo (and the amount of money at stake). I just don't believe that some set of artificially invented molecules that a chemist cooks in a test tube can really be good for you if you are injesting it all the freakin time. Finally, I don't agree with the attitude of getting an Rx for whatever ails you. High cholesterol? Friggin lay off the Big Macs, dude. High blood pressure? Exercise and lose weight. Don't start taking prescription drugs (switch to fast talking disclaimer voice) which may cause nausea, diahrrea, heart palpitations, bleeding rectums, etc.
Anyway, I'm on day 3 of the regimen. I had a bender last night, so I've been having the runs all morning. Amazingly, I remembered to make the tea before I crashed last night. I see lots of tiny seed like things in my runs that a paranoid person might mistake for parasite eggs, but I'm pretty sure they're remnants from the raspberries that I'm mixing into my shake in the morning.
I will tell you this. I am sleeping much more soundly through the night. But no noticeable boost in energy.
