  • Cop buddy of Bill's got shot today...

This officer came up through the academy and worked with Bill. Bill was pretty freaked today about it all.

Pretty screwed up thing to happen to him. This guy worked the worst district with Bill for years and makes it to the safest place here (airport duty) and gets shot.

    Made national news...

As soon as I saw that I was wondering if Bill knows him. Best wishes to him and his family.

Bill, I am sorry to hear this and I hope he will be fine.

Bro, why wasn't he wearing his vest?

I don't think many coppers wear the vest on airport duty it seems. Although they should always, I'm sure it gets cumbersome and hot inside there. Guess it would have saved this.

Bill figures it will be his retirement. This guy won't be going back I bet.

Same shit as Bill, made it to the safest duty area, and gets fucked...

Pretty sure I'm remembering correctly that Bill's incident that forced him from being able to work was at the airport as well. Is that right? I'm sure it has to hit home more since it may be the same place. That is if I'm remembering correctly. Glad to hear the officer is stable though. I worked with a lot of cops in NYS when I was with the department of criminal justice. None of them often get the respect they deserve from a high percentage of the general public.

Wow, I'm really sorry to hear about this. But it's good to hear that it's not worse than it was.

Yeah, Bill got hurt at the airport as well...

I think it is so much more calm there compared to the districts, the cops are in a more relaxed state, and less on edge and wary... Prolly why he didn't have his jacket on.

He's in critcal but stable condiion right now. Hope he stays that way and just improves.

Bill has been busy with finding a home for the dog etc. guy took him today and is happy as hell with him.

Man, when it rains it pours doesn't it? Give Bill my best and Steve Walker is in my thoughts and prayers too. Last thing Bill needed on top of the dog situation, I hope he's okay...

Yeah I immediately thought of Bill when I heard this morning. Props to the officer, shot 2x in the chest and he's recovering, that's one tough cop!
