The Wal-Mart here is entirely in Spanish, signs and everything. Hardly a soul speaks english and all of the intercom announcements are in Spanish. It's an INS paradise, let me tell ya.

JG, good thoughts there bro. But I look at it like this. Only the people who are too lazy to wash their own car, mow their lawn, vacuum and maintain thier pool etc. will be paying more. Sure, guys like roofers, landscapers and construction contractors use this cheap labor to fill out their work crew. But they could get by without them. I think they use them in abundance because they are so inexpensive. It all balances out in the long run I think. I may pay a few more bucks for a roof this year, a roof that lasts 20 years. But maybe I'll save in tax money if less were leeched out in benefits to non contributors.

Our Walmart is exactly the same way. Its located on the border of Stratford and Milford CT. The weird thing is that my city (Milford) has a minority population of .03%.
Go to the Home Depot which is in the same shopping center and everybody who shops there is lily white.
Go figure.

My take on it is this. They are here illegally. Granting them citizenship or amnestly or whatever just because there are so many of them is a complete slap in the face to the people who have been trying to get citizenship for years the legal way. What do we tell them ? Sorry, next time break the law and things will be better.

Ship them all back. The illegals are far from helping this economy. Sure, they are doing a job for wages that most US citizens won't do, but that's only because they have set the demand for that type of work. If there are no illegals to do those jobs, we will have to pay a little more for those products and services, but so what. That will be more tax revenue and more $$$ circulated in the economy. Sure, they illegals may be paying some sales tax, but for every $1 they pay in sales tax, they cost $2 in government services.

Hey Ron, go eat at an In-And-Out for me. It's about the only thing I miss about So. Cal. LOL!

I'll be flying there on business May 9-16, to get my fix of that and a few other foods, and by the end of the trip I'll be so sick of the traffic, crowds and other crap that California turned into I'll be glad to be going home to Cinci.

Talking about not speaking English, I grew up in Diamond Bar / Walnut, riding bikes down Colima Blvd. to the Puente Hills Mall as a kid. Back then, you could read the signs on businesses.

Today, you can't read any signs - they are all in Asian. I have no issues with Asians; they paid me big bucks to buy my POS Condo in Diamond Bar which let me buy a mansion here in Ohio, but this thing with not speaking English or having English signs used to piss me off. It doesn't any more because I gave up on California and got the fuck out of there. It isn't even part of the US any more as far as I'm concerned.

I have to take issue with all the Mexico bashing. My grandmother was born in Mexico in 1900. She's dead now. Her family was Mormon and they spilt Utah when the Goverment outlawed poligamy, but not monopoly. They set up a nice little settlement called "Colonia Diaz". Then old Pancho Villa decided to get his cahones in a uproar and they decided to leave. So my Mexican heritage dates to 1900. What WE should do is add up how much THEY cost us in a day by taking our jobs, social security, welfare, health care, etc. and compare that to how much they spend and let THAT tell us how important they are to our society...
