Well, our computer systems were down today, so I boycotted work and went to a fine local establishment best known for its "fabulous traditional New Orleans cuisine and drunk lawyers" and had a wonderful 4 hour lunch composed of Red Beans and Rice, and 2 "buckets" of Martinis (each bucket equals roughly 4-5 drinks). This should help my colon cleansing program.

I was feeling a bit randy on the way home, so I picked up a good looking whore who appeared to be an immigrant and made her protest my oral invasion.....

Just kidding, but the lunch was very tasty. :ROTF:

I did see a demonstration on my way down at Lafayette Square...replete with local politicians making speeches for the cameras.

Whatever..this shit was going on right across the street from the IRS and the old office of Naval Intelligence. Unreal.

    Mike
Sleep. The sound doesn't collapse to riffs of early eyes either.

Well, I was concerned... Why? Because there's this Mexican restaurant here that I love. If they were closed today I would have done without it and never would have darkened the doors again...

I called them this morning to ask if they were open today and this Mexican lady answered the phone. I asked if they were open and in English she told me that yes they are open and never considered closing. I thanked her and that was that.

I ended up having Chinese instead and was hit on by a China doll party girl. She was too cute.

Anyway, I was out and about all day today. I saw nothing unusual and I saw Mexicans as I normally would buying up a storm, just doing their thing. I went to Pro Bass and on my way out I saw 15 to 20 of them walking in to shop.

Then I started thinking if perhaps this is mostly another media event. I do seriously wonder what lies beneath it all and who is really responsible for it.

The protests, as I understand it, mainly happened in California and Florida. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary in my neck of the woods as well.

            my Monday 5/1 report:

I went to the Coachella festival on Sunday and did not get back until 4:30 fucking AM. so I (along with all the illegals, but for a far better reason LOL) bagged work today, partly to get a few hrs more sleep and partly b/c I had to take my kids to a 2 PM dentist appt anyway, so driving an hour to work and an hour back by lunchtime was OUT.

anyway, I bought a few things here and there, and went though McDonald's and Jack in the Box drive throughs, all good. took my kids to the DDS and then took them to ice skating lessons. then home at dinner time.

oh, yeah, and my lawn service company was due to show up today for regular service and they did not show. so I called them up and fired them. my words were, you chose to boycott me, so now I am taking my business elsewhere.

fuck all the illegals in the eye for trying to extort US citizens into granting their outrageous demands. all over LA people were calling the John & Ken Show on KFI AM 640 to report how nice a day it was with no illegals around, especially with the lack of traffic.

this idiotic display has backfired on the illegals and their rabblerousers significantly.

Didn't see this info here, but some good reads for backgrounds.
This whole blasphemy is related to
House bill 4437 Border Protection, Antiterrorism, and Illegal Immigration Control Act of 2005
              http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HR_4437

              Where'd this end up?

                  glad you asked.

the House passed 4437 to respond to the majority of US citizens who demand immigration enforcement and won't tolerate any amnesty. people like me and many others, clearly, who post here.

the bill now goes to the Senate for them to add whatever they might add. what they want to add is Amnesty.

so far we've been successful in putting significant public pressure (phone calls to your Senators' offices, and faxes and emails to them) on the Senate which thus far has stymied their efforts to get Amnesty passed. there is not one Senate bill being considered by YOUR Senators which does NOT contain huge amnesty provisions for illegal border bargers, whom your Senators let in here by the millions and now whom your Senators want you to believe can not be deported. I say they came here, they can leave here.

anyway, CALL YOUR SENATORS AND REPS AND TELL THEM ENFORCEMENT ONLY, AND NO AMNESTY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. this is the public outrage we need to show to get our coward Senators off this Amnesty kick they are on.

some Senators are trying to twist arms in the House also, to get House Reps to back off their (decent) enforcement bill 4437. call your Reps and let them know you support 4437 in full, and expect no Amnesty.

thanks everyone, we can win this if we act.

                    • i hope you all watch lou dobbs. he is the man. that guy's got the skinny on this illegal immigration b.s. not only does he call it like it is, he understands where it came from. after corporations basically took over the government, they basically created domestic policy to allow illegal aliens into the country for cheap labor. this in itself was a slap in the face to all americans who immigrated here legally.

between the elimination of manufacturing jobs to overseas factories the elimination of service industry jobs to illegal aliens, the middle class is heading the way of the dodo. don't be fooled, the amnesty clause is there because of the corporations. the illegals are empowered because their employers have a lot of congressmen in their pockets. and now congress has a real dilemma now. answer to the voters or their donors.

tell your senators that you also demand real campaign finance laws. the big corporations run this country, and it's going to be very difficult to see real change until that corruption is changed.

yeah, shrub is going to investigate price gouging by the oil companies. he's going to walk down to cheney's office where exxon and chevron's ceo's are hanging out, and he's going to ask, "hey jimbo, hey bubba, you guys colluding on gas prices? No? good enough for me." :ROTF:

I agree. America is fucked. The big companies are saying "Let them eat cake". I say "Off with their heads!".

                        My purchase report:
Bought some Seafoam to flush out the Saturn. Couldn't find the right spark plugs however (3 different stores).
Bought 4 bails of peat moss.
Bought $7.50 worth of gas (Saturn is getting 37.5mpg with over 180K miles).

Lou Dobbs was on Good Morning America first thing this morning, reiterating
the themes posted above. He also pointed out that May Day is also the international Communist and Socialist workers' holiday. He sugested that this was no accident, but an ideological statement on the part of the organizers.

To be fair, he said he thought the workers themselves had no clue of the significance of the date.

INS should've been ready to scoop these fuckers up and intern them somewhere like closed military bases in the areas (like El Toro Marine Base in Orange County). Keep 'em locked up for awhile while we decide whether to just deport them, or imprison them for a lengthy stay.

If they got put on a work gang for a year when caught, that'd put them out of action insofar as sending money home to their families is condcerned. That alone would be a huge deterrent to illegal immigration as it happens now. Repeaqling the law that makes ALL children born in the US citizens, to specifically exclude children of illegals, would also help a lot.

This is OUR country and OUR culture. You should HAVE to assimilate. When my maternal grandfather got off the boat from Athens, Greece, he had to learn English and there was no welfare system. Likewise when my many-times great-grandfathers got off the boats from Holland and England, they had to build a life from the ground up. The Indians didn't give them a welfare system, they were friendly at first but as soon as they saw the threat they tried to drive them out. They didn't succeed; what are we going to do?

Actually, most Hispanics are 80-90% Indian by blood anyway, so maybe they're trying to retake North America!
