I was mostly referring to Chemical Wedding. Tattoed Millionaire was pretty iffy...

Yeah, Chemical Wedding was great, as was Accident of Birth and Balls to Picasso. Tattooed Millionaire and Skunkworks are his worst albums... though, they're not so bad compared to some other shit bands around.
I don't have his newest album yet, Tyranny of Souls, only heard one or two songs, but I hear the album is pretty good.

tyranny of souls is killer. better than all the others to me. steve harris needs to listen to bruce's last 3 solo records and choke down the fact that maiden is limping along with him at the lead....

as far as the JP "concept album"....PLEASE.....NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! just write 4 minute metal classics....don't try to get all prog.....
          GEAR:

some guitars...WITH STRINGS!!!! most of them have those sticks like on guitar hero....AWESOME!!!!

some amps...they have some glowing bottle like things in them...i think my amps do that modelling thing....COOL, huh?!?!?!

          and finally....

i have those little plastic "chips" used to hit the strings...WHOA!!!!

+1 on the tipton lyrics thing, Jugulator and Demolition had much better songs than the lyrics made them.

-How could a band that did Screaming for Vengeance lose it like this?

I cannot understand how one of my favorite guitarists can write lyrics that poorly. And why can't downing, Hill, and the drummer convince him they suck?

Halford's Crucible was incredible. I wish it was a JP release. Instead we got AOR -which was OK, but Lochness proved someone is not all there.

I can see Spinal Tap all over "Nostrodominator" or whatever they are going to call it.

Off Jugulator, I like Burn In Hell.
Off Demolition, I like One On One.
Both songs are a far cry from decent musical pieces but I can stomach them.
Thats about it from that era, that I can appreciated, other than those two songs both albums sucked big time. Tim did the old stuff really well too, he was a very good singer imo and unfortunately in a band that at that time the writers were having brain farts left and right, and it showed.
Peace, Love and Happieness and all that stuff...

I personally do not care how it was built as long as it is a good playing/sounding instrument.

You made me think of Darth Vader in SW3...but hey the JP guys are probably bored with the 4 minute metal...let 'em try something new...if it goes over like S&M...cool...if it goes over like KISS's The Elder ...bleah...they'll realize the error of their ways.

on a side note, concept album does not = 15 minute prog epics (cough cough scenes from a memory cough). nevermore's dreaming neon black is a concept album, too, and the songs are about as straightforward as it gets (mainly because the music was written with a "regular" album in mind, but warrel's lyrics turned it into a concept album really)
