  • Neighbors murdered

This is fucked up! My parents bought their house in 1977, three doors away from this great family who lived there since 1972... the father died last week, the mother and one of the daughters were murdered yesterday. I went over yesterday afternoon because it was my parents' anniversary, and my brother and I were taking them out for dinner. There were police and police tape and news vans everywhere. Unbelievable.

That sucks dude... A similar thing happened at my Moms home in VA a little over 2 years ago. She lives with her brother & sister-in-law. Thier 35 year old daughter was a social worker that counseled mentally challenged adults. She was unmarried, and still lived at home. One of her clients was so "enamored" with her he decided stalking her was the way to pursue a relationship.

Long story short...My Aunt, Uncle & Mom came home after dinner to find my cousin lying dead in the kitchen, shot twice in the head, and once in the back. I guess the guy realized the severity of what he had done on his way home, and shot himself. The thing that was strange to me is when my Mom called me to tell me about it. She was so numb that her explanation was as if she saw it on the news...very "matter of fact". It was more than 2 weeks before they could move back in the house.

Dont get me started on restraining orders, they are unconstitutional and they do not prevent this kind of shit from happening.A piece of paper is not going to stop an angry person, just make them more pissed off.

Those things are 65% used to fuck with someone in a custody case or divorce(so the new guy can move in, gain custody of children, ect..) With a TRO, you are GUILTY until you can prove that the other person isnt "scared" of you.Its bullshit and easy to lie on one and get away with it without any penalty. The cops and judges all know this but will not deny one just in case you decide to do what this guy did.So, this one guy is screwing THOUSANDS of people out of their rights.10's of thousands yearly are wrongly accused.

While this case sucks, you will never get me to agree with the TRO as a tool against Domestic Violence. An angry partner will not stop because someone in a court room told him.Meanwhile, parents all across the country and denied rights to thier children with little chance of changing things. All of which can be based soley on lies. When your constitutional rights can get trampled on by someones word, without you being there to defend yourself, there is something sinister and wrong going on.

Horrible story, Joe. I hope your folks are okay, that has to be very traumatic for them, and for you for that matter. Why couldn't the guy skip the murders and just jump off the bridge?

That's terrible mate, some times these things are too close for comfort.

My neighbours got broken into last night and stole cameras, phones, jewelery, money and credit cards. Makes you want to find the f*ckers and beat the living shit out of them.

Is it my imagination or do a lot of these types of murders happen after the "Restraining Order" is issued? It seems like the RO pushes a lot of these guys over the edge. Maybe, at that point they feel " all is lost" and ....

                              That does indeed suck!

When I was 17 or 18 we had this little old lady, late 70's or so, living next door. Someone broke in and brutally murdered her.

My girlfriend and I pulled into my driveway to find cops everywhere and an ambulance in her backyard. Her sliding glass door faced the back of my house, which was shattered. Anyway I walked over to the fence to ask what happened when they brought her body out. The cops started asking me questions and then started asking me if anything was missing from my backyard. We had shovels, picks and axes back there.

I told them it all looked to be there to me, but it wasn't my stuff so I didn't know. They asked if they could come over and have a look around. Of course I said, feel free to do what you need to do... So they did.

A couple of days later 2 detectives dropped by our house and wanted to ask questions. As it turned out the murder weapon was in fact an axe taken from our backyard... NOT cool! So we talked to the detectives for a bit and they left.

A couple of days later I get a call at like 7am from a homicide detective telling he he was going to come pick me up and take me downtown to interrogate me.

Ok at this point I'm freaking way the fuck out!

To make a long story short I was only 1 of about 500 being questioned. I drove myself down there to meet with him. The detective told me when I got down there he didn't even suspect me of anything, but did have questions for me. Whew!

The main suspect and the guy they wanted to ask me about was the drummer in my band! They did try to pin it on him and did hold him for "questioning" several times. This guy was by no means an angel now, but certainly not a killer.

They finally did catch the guy that did it. He was killing women around the area, 5 or 6 IIRC. He wasn't raping them, stealing anything, nothing. Just killing for the thrill of it. And I believe they were all elderly women. Some very sad shit!

I don't think I've ever been that freaked out over anything.
