Hey guys,
Some of you may or may not know that I've just spent the past four weeks auditioning for the world-class metal band IGNITOR. They're based here in Austin, which totally friggin' rules! And they are, in my opinion (and many others), one of the most baddass Pure Metal/True Metal bands in the USA right now.
As of May 9th (two days ago) I am officially the band's new guitar player!
To say I am excited is the most understated understatement a person could make. It freakin' rules!!! I have a huge amount of respect for everyone in the band. They are talented, humble, funny, fun-to-be-with, and seasoned pros. I am honored to be sharing in the IGNITOR experience with them and am thrilled to know that they are equally excited about me being in the band.
My first performance with them is this Saturday, May 13th in San Antonio at the Texas Metal Health IV - Tribute to David Wayne (singer for Metal Church). We go on at 9:30pm and will play IGNITOR originals and will cover the song "Metal Church" as well.
In August we will be playing a huge metal festival in Brazil. And in 2007 we will play the Keep It True VI metal fest. in Germany. We're also vying for a spot on the Zippo Hot Tour (www.zippohottour.com). On Monday one of our songs will appear on their website for voting. If we get enough votes, then we advance to the next round. If we win that round, we get to do a healthy chunk of touring! So keep your eyes peeled and vote for IGNITOR!
