She replaced the female guitarist, was her name Emily? I don't recall, just saw a thread on Sludge awhile back that she'd left and they were looking. It's funny, I thought of Annah when I read that thread too, and now look!

Hey Annah, that is great news...congrats!

I noticed one of your band members is named Batlord. I remember picking up Bathory's first album, way back when, and thinking, "wow, cool name - Batlord!" The old english script messed me up.

                  Anyway, congrats once again!

Everyone would have to wear a badge that shows a picture of their Avatar and their screen name so we'll know who we are! LOL!

Umm...coff...coff...I am the geek formerly known as WarriorX7 Annah...LOL!!!!

And I am the only JCF'er that you've ever met?!
I felt very strange about that whole sitch....but I thoroughly enjoyed my trip to Austin. I only wish I had gotten to see more of that wonderful city! I will DEFINITELY be back someday soon!!

Sorry, Emily on the brain I guess! Hey, 3 syllables ending in "ly", I was only 100% wrong! I tried to look it up onsite but the Bio section was down. Reckon the update was in progress even then!

Actually, I remember Troy posting about meeting Annah at a Ventt show. I guess my memory's better than I sometimes think. Anyway, good to see you back Ken! Now I recall you saying that you were selling your last Warrior and would be picking a new nym. I take it it's a Firebird, good choice!

Hey Rich, never left here bro! I changed my name just a month or so before the board switched over.

Yeah...all the Warriors are gone *sigh*..gone, is an era. Giving up pretty much on all super pointy guitars (not excluding Explorers or Gibson V's) But Firebirds will pretty much be it from here on out. My tastes have changed...got a little older, etc...

Mid-life crisis creepin' up a little early on me?..don't know man!

Hey man, tastes DO change, and it's different in your 40s than your 30s or 20s. (I don't know where in there your age falls, I'm 48 now! )Those Warriors are beautiful creations, but if in reality you find yourself playing classic rock, or really anything besides extreme metal, then they don't really fit in. I have mostly strat shapes now myself. The only pointy shapes I have are a Peavey Vortex 2 Rhoads copy, and an LTD King V copy. They don't get much play either, but they are nearly worthless to sell and too nice to give away, so they sit.

Still got a few pointy headstocks though, so I'm still a rebel!

I'm 36...and although I'm not getting out of the metal vein...my tastes in guitars have always fallen with Explorers, V's and Firebirds.

Jimmy - interesting you should mention Bathory, that's EXACTLY where Batlord got the name! He did exactly what you did, picked up what he thought was a cool-looking record called "Batlord" and then after realizing it was Bathory decided, "Hell, I'm gonna use 'Batlord'!" LOL too funny.

Heheh, Ken, I didn't even realize you were FirebirdZ now! That rocks. Wish I had known you were gettin rid of your Warriors. I would have been very interested!

That's right, I did meet Troy from Ventt, up in Dallas when I was with Boneglove (arg) at Graffitis. I also met another JCFer that was working at GC in Scottsdale, AZ but damn if I can remember his name! If you're still here, I'm sorry I forgot!!!

By the way, the Ignitor show Saturday was KILLER! Wish you guys could have been there. We had such a great time! I wish you all could have been there. We're going into the studio on June 24th and will release the second Ignitor album shortly thereafter.
