The RATT show was excellent, I'm still a huge fan after all these years.

Damn shame about Robbin though, what a cool guy. Must have been tough to watch Warren get all the attention as the guitar god.

Best thing about the show last night is now my wife agrees with me that I DO need a new Warren Charvel Crossed Swords.

The shows will air again on Sunday May 14 at 12:00 Eastern, 11am Central. I'll be ready since I sent a reminder.

I saw the RATT one and taped the Pantera one. They made it look like Robin basically screwed the band up and then when he was sick, complained about how they just left him behind? Was that basically what happened or did they twist it around? I was never a huge RATT follower but listed to them somewhat in the 80's

I had heard the story about Dime's murder but seeing the video was truly chilling. Makes you think how shitty security can be in some of these night clubs. BTW Terry Glaze is a very good songwriter. He was living in I think Maryland about 10 years ago and putting a band together. Heard some demos. Good stuff.
          What would Jerry do?

I said it in JG's post, but I will say it again. While I find these shows very interesting and revealing...they really ruin alot of the magic for me. For example, you hear all about the arguments, the egos, the bullshit dealing with record companies, producers...engineers. From Ratt I learned that everyone essentially hated each other, the albums were rushed by the producer, who the band REALLY hated, the label only cared about cashing in and cashing in quickly, etc. It was sad to see Robbin, who had fallen so far...but as he said, he lived the life of 10 men.

One of the biggest shocks was that the producer wanted to bring in a hired gun to cut Warren's solos. Wow, that was a shock...and pretty funny as well.

Pantera, well I certainly learned what a piece of shit Phil was..but that was not unexpected or a shock...he always looked and acted like a piece of New Orleans trash, which is what he is. Phil looked completely wasted in his interview...lots of bad blood there.....I never was a fan of Pantera, or Dime. I recognize that Dime was a great player and many look up too him. His death was such as waste....but that is life.

Sleep. The sound doesn't collapse to riffs of early eyes either.

I heard about EVH putting in the guitar. I was very teary-eyed through just about that whole episode. Much sadder than Ratt's story.

                  I didn't know Robbin OD'd either.

Dave, I did get to see it, but had no means to record it to DVD. If anyone did, I will gladly cover the cost thru paypal. Please let me know.
