  • **Have you ever been Scamed before?**

Sorry, I goofed the first try.
While following the 357 thread, I was thinking about how many times
a person can be scamed before they wise up.
Me? I almost got it twice.
    You?

Does paying full list price for something in a music store count?

I got scammed a few months back and got reminded of my rule. If it's not the Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, or someone you invited to your door, don't buy shit. This guy was selling mags and claimed to be from a Houston college. Had done his research well and dropped names and addresses of people I know. Claimed his parents lived next door to one. Even produced an order from one(now I wonder if it was faked). I was REAL busy at the time so he could not have had better timing for his scam. I didn't have time to check his story out. Filed a complaint and for a refund. No result from either. At less than $50, I consider it a lessen well learned. I pity the next fool who comes around with the same scam. I don't know if fun will be had by all, but it will be had by me.

Everyone has been scammed. The best scams are the ones where the person never knows they've been ripped off.

I still have my $2000 vacuum cleaner. Anybody ever comes to my door selling vacuums again they better be wearing a cup.

I won an ebay auction some time ago, but the seller didn't respond to my mails, he didn't have a working phone number and he didn't contact me.. so I decided not to transfer the money. Good call, because I got some mails from other buyers who got scammed by this seller. So technically I didn't get scammed.. but it was close.

But I have an Ibanez guitar, so I guess I'm scammed at least once haha

I've never been scammed because I'm a skeptical bastard. My wife is super gullible though, so I gotta watch out for her.

My gf is in the process of being scammed as we speak. She's using a local auction site and she paid for the item but haven't received it yet. Sellers account is suddenly dead, emails and phone calls are not answered. Item was $10 so it's a cheap lesson.
What surprises me is that the bank won't make a chargeback.

One time I let some Punk ass kid named Eric out of PA buy a Marshall MG100RCD from me. I let him send half down, and built a trust relationship thru the phone with him. My call a month later about the other half were hangups, etc. I called late one night, and got his dad, and his dad made me empty promises too.

                              Punk bitches.

I got punked on a tshirt before too.

                              I'm sure theres others.
