i haven't heared the song yet, but i will certainly watch the contest...after all, it's the first metal song to appear on the eurovision song contest

however, lordi indeed is hardly more than a GWAR ripoff although less extreme and more "mainstream".
of course, i'm pretty sure their song is the best one of this contest....most of the stuff there is pure crap anyways. the german entry is soooooo bad it's totally ridiculous.

btw, if you check out some i-net polls you will see that they might indeed win....seems like most people think it's a cool idea and a nice change from the usual pop songs that sound like they were all written by the same guy

lordi is kind of cool. I don't know many of their songs, but I saw'em live on wacken couple of years ago, and really enjoyed them. even though the singer was not really very talkative. I think "danke" was the only thing he said between songs...
but the show was solid.

i only listened to it once (had the radio running as i was waiting for the traffic report ), but to me it sounded like basic 08/15 pop very reminiscent of dieter bohlen's stuff....
