I just got back from watching it at my buddies' house. I was expecting Hughes to win. I like Gracie, but Hughes is way more powerful. There were some good fights on the bill. I can't wait for Ortiz and Shamrock!!

I'm surprised Hughes didn't snap Gracie's arm.
So did Hughes chicken out, or is it really that hard to snap someones arm like that?
Short fight; I thought it would have gone a little longer.

i couldn't believe that arm bar...that was insane. Yeah, Matt Hughes totally dominated, but I think Gracie was showing a lot of ring rust...it's been like 10 years since he's been in the octagon? He says he wants to do a few more fights, and I think he could return in much better shape and give Hughes a better contest the next time they meet. let's hope at least...

I don't know how many of you guys have mixed martial arts backrounds, but Graice would never tap from a submission. Helio Gracie had his elbow broken by Masahiko Kimura (hence why they call Ude Garame the Kimura now, to honor Masahiko Kimura). That straight arm bar I can tell you is painful, and I know from experience. I would have been screaming with my elbow hyper extended like that, the interesting thing is the look of focus that Royce had on his face...like it didn't even bother him.
I bet he is so pissed at himself for losing.
Matt Hughes is a good fighter, and in reality he isn't all that bad of a guy to lose to. That said, why isn't Dennis Hallman (I think that's his last name) in the UFC. He has beaten Matt Hughes not once, but two times before in previous fights.
