Paul Rodgers...eh...I keep hearing the song Bad Company. I didn't like the way he sang We Will Rock You.

Foo Fighters...I like their cover of Baker Street and that's about it. Horrible vocals on Tie Your Mother Down.

Godsmack: Pretty damn good. The singer has a pretty powerful voice. +1 for the Diezel and Splawn amps. -1 for not trying the scream on Victim of Changes.

Judas Priest: Sounded great, however they might as well have played Run to the Hills, Enter Sandman, etc. Can you please play songs we DONT hear every day, at every concert?

All American Rejects: The name says it all. Pathetic.

Def Leppard: Man, Joe's voice...so sad. I just want to hear them play stuff from High n' Dry all night.

Supergroup: Rob Zombie is a pretty good performer. Scott Ian was entertaining as always. Slash, Gilbey...not my thing. Tommy Lee...I guess he's decent enough. Ace...never liked his playing.

Kiss: My wife asked me if I had boobs like Paul if I would wear an outfit like his. We both were grossed out by Gene's hip thrusting. We both laughed when Paul sang and both agreed that their music never lived up to their image. In fact, we pretty much laughed through their whole performance.

Me and a buddy of mine paid $40 a piece over 6 years ago to see the original lineup on what was supposed to be and "Actual" farewell tour for Kiss ( Gene and Paul were both quoted as saying those who do a farewell tour and not actually go away are lame). I want my money back.

All American Rejects should have played a different Lep song, they might have been OK. I think the guy did a good job on the solo, but man that singer struggled bad.

I think Godsmack kicked ass on the Priest covers myself.

I thought Godsmack did alright on Electric Eye, but that dude is not worthy of Victim Of Changes.

Myself and many others included, would love to see Van Halen on VH1 Honors.
BUT, How would you go about honor three era's?
Theres DLR, Sammy and Gary era's.
Would each singer get to do a song from their own era?
Not that it matter much to me, BUT, its something to consider since VH has alot of history.

VH is a mess these days, Sam and Mike are done or it seems thewy are done with the VH bros. They(Sam and Mike)are out doing a summer tour called, "the other half".
DLR, is out doing some summer dates with his new lineup.
The VH bros aren't doing anything.
Again, I'm not one to read more into things, but lets face it the VH bros make it easy to say it looks like its over, and I'm okay with that, time to move on.

Not sure how VH1 decides who gets a spot or elected to be on the honor show. Everybody just has alot of animosity towards one another. Even so, not sure Van Halen could get it together to do the honor show if the opportunity presented itself. I feel strongly, the mighty VH we all grew up on and fans of, is history, is over.

I personally do not care how it was built as long as it is a good playing/sounding instrument.

i give paul a pass on the performance; dude's had 2 hip replacement surgeries and is in need of a 3rd. i'd think that'd sideline him a bit as far as being in shape, etc.

Agreed. I was mildly shocked to see the man-boobs Paul grew until I realized he had hip surgery. I'm guessing his normal workout routine has been reduced.

Either that or he is just tired of staying fit.

Has anyone else notice that in the recent interviews of Ace on VH1 (when he has the beard) that he looks sober/healthier? He seems to be in a better mental place, if that makes any sense.

I'm going to go see Sam and Mike this month, that should be fun.

I didn't think Paul looked bad....he just SANG like shit.

I am convinced he is gay anyway..............Gene just grosses me out. I am ashamed to claim them as members of the tribe. Of course, I worshipped KISS when I was a kid. I saw them in 1978, it was my first "real" concert.

                      Mike
Sleep. The sound doesn't collapse to riffs of early eyes either.

Lots of folks ragging on Paul Rodgers but he was the only vocalist worth a shit! He's a true singer and doesn't need the studio gimmickery to make him sound good.

I thought it was fantastic that ACE joined the all stars. When the crowd starting chanting ACE ACE ACE, I bet Gene and Paul were backstage saying "this fucker's gonna haunt us forever!"

All in all, it was a good show.

I'm not baggin on Paul... great singer.
Just not the right singer (voice) for Queen.
And George Michaels doesn't need that studio crap either... the guy has got a killer voice for singing this style of music and can pull off Freddy's stuff damn near prefect.
Paul doesn't have the range to sing most of Queen's tunes like they were originaly performed.
Sounds more like the guys went for a name instead of someone who can actualy sing the shit properly.

+1. I thought he and Rob Zombie sounded the best.
