Nice walk down memory lane. It seems almost quaint that metalheads kept in contact by snail mail and phone calls in those pre-Internet days! I remember getting a phone call from Ron McGovney's girlfriend (friend of mine at the time) inviting me to a super-secret Metallica concert at a tiny club on the Sunset Strip back in the mid 80s (I think it was either the Troubador or the Whisky A Go Go).

Cool read, I was there in the early 80's in the SF bay area, I don't remember them until the kill em all album.
