Yes, that was Bob Daisley. The Rainbow video is from the German "Rockpalast" TV program and was filmed in Munich in 1977. That show is due to be released on DVD (reportedly in much higher picture quality than you see on this youtube clip) later this summer. I'm eagerly awaiting this one, personally.

Yes. According to the Deep Purple Appreciation Society web site (www.deep-purple.net), folks who have seen the new release say it looks fantastic. It was taken from the original video mastertape, apparently. I'm not sure what else can be done with it, since it is a 30-year old TV broadcast. Apparently the audio of the broadcast will also be released as a cd later this month.
