all they would have to do is lay down some progressions..cut and paste riffs with with their trademark studio polished Mike Anthony vox and alex drum and snare tone..and Ed is just got to throw down his limited and remebererd "trix" he did for solos..

Oh, I showed my wife "Mine all Mine" off OU812..which happens to be exactly 20 years old already!
Then I showed her Jorne's song "Sunset Station"..and damn if she didn't agree that he would kill in that kinda shit...and shit like that...especially the writing off of FUCK and Balance!
Jorne would have smoked Sammy or Dave ..or Cherone (yeesh) ..on that stuff without a doubt in my mind!
I got the Allen/Lande "the Battle"..and Russ is a vocal GOD, but whenever I listen to it..I'm just waiting for the Jorne parts because ..it's the best parts.
Dave fit like a glove in VH during his entire tenure..it was the best shit.
Ironically the radio fell in love Van Hagar..
But in hindsight I think most would agree the DLR era was the best..that's when Ed was a "guitar hero" .. Dave insisted to Ed that people didn't give a fuck about Ed playing with his Casio..which is true.
I think Ed threw the towel..so it seems..
