I know how you feel. If only I live near one of those cities. I feel like I'm gonna have a seizure from looking at that website.
If you're flammable and have legs, you are never blocking a fire exit. Unless you are a table.

            CampJam Update- Friday Nite Concert

I went to the concert tonight.

First let me say I was blown away. Some of these kids can play.
Some not so much but a big to them.

Some of these kids were just great. In one of the groups a young lady was the lead singer. She did a wonderful job. She could not have been more than 12 or 14 years old. She was playing to the crowd and seemed very comfortable. She came to the front of the stage, got down and was working the front row. She went to stand or jump back to her feet and stumbled back and landed flat on her butt. SHE DID NOT MISS A BEAT!
In the group that did the Cars tune one of the guitar players was another Young lady. She looked to be one of the younger kids. She was the shortest of the group. She had long brown hair and a smile from ear to ear. She had the guitar solo part and that little guitar riff part of that song. The rest of her group were kind of stiff but not her, every time she hit that little riff she jumped of her feet. When it came time for the little lead part, she moved right up front and blew it. She never stopped smiling and when she finished and stepped back the crowed went nuts with applause.

The last three bands that played were very tight. The group that did the original tune I was told are all friends that play togather as a group and came to camp as a group. They had the headbag thing going very well.

Spied a couple of Jackson guitars. One was a DK or DX series I think, not sure which. It was one with the 3x3 pointy headstock. 2 hum, string thru. The other was a lefty Kelly with rev sharkies

Their were 16 bands all playing one song each.

            The play list

            Sweet Child of Mine (GNR)
All These Things That I've Done (The Killers)
All The Small Things (Blink 182)
Rock ans Roll All Nite (Kiss)
God Save the Queen (The Sex Pistols)
            More Than a Feeling (Boston)
You Shook Me all Night Long (AC/DC)
Do You Realize (The Flaming Lips)
Should I Stay or Should I Go (the Clash)
            Black Dog (Led Zeppelin)
            Born to Be Wild (Steppenwolf)
Just What I Needed (The Cars)
Build Me Up Buttercup (The Foundations) Rock verison "VERY COOL"
Boulevard of Broken Dream (Green Day)
Monster Mash (Boris Pickett & The Crypt-kickers)
A Bullett for Rebirth (Vitriol) Original Tune by these 4 young men (Very Metal)
            Whipping Post (The Allman Brothers)

All I can say is, If one of these programs is takeing place near you try and take the time to go and see for yourself.

ROCK and ROLL is ALIVE and WELL it would appear.

Well I guess I have said enough

A BIG to all these guys and gals. I had a very good time at the show.
