  • Dumbest gear thing you ever did.

I recently sold practically all of my gear so I could move to Portland, Oregon. I ended up moving back to Texas two weeks later. Dumbest thingI ever did? HELL NO! I loved it up there and am damn glad I got rid of that crap. Most of it sucked anyway.

The ONE thing I do regret gearwise is selling my Robin Medley IV. I have never played a guitar with a better neck for me. It was perfectly balanced, sounded godly, and just felt amazing overall. It fell into disuse due to the wonked-out frets. It needed a refret BAD and I couldn't afford it. I'm not one to keep gear I don't use, so I sold it. I wish I hadn't.

Anyone have a Robin Medley they wanna get rid of?

Sold my first guitar. Was a POS Vantage Avenger, but I wish I still had it.

Line 6 Distortion Modeller - just awful....

Sold a wood stained Mesa Boogie Mark 2C combo for 500.00 bucks when I was like 17 years old. Later on when I actually had a clue, I wanted to chop my hand off for being stupid.

                  Worst thing I ever did....

Traded a Gibson Marauder for an 8-ball back in my early 20's...

Those days are way way behind me, though.

Also, I swapped my first 100W Sound City combo for a Tu-Ac 'head' and 2x12 cab - the Sound City wasn't exactly a Dual Rec, but the head sounded like shit and gave me electric shocks!

#1. Lay off the Ibanez bashing!!

My worst mistake was selling a custom shop custom ordered BC Rich Warlock in WWII German plane graphics, iron cross MOP fretmarkers etc...

bought a guitar, thinking I might be able to learn to play. I still keep making that mistake.
