I hope he makes it...and I hope it is a doable recovery. I recently saw a show with a woman where the cat had two legs and it was very well adjusted.. same with a dog too. Needless to say.. extraordinary animals require some above and beyond owners. I hope he will be ok and still has a place in your life..I know you'll do what you can. I miss mine almost daily still 4 years later. All the best.
The only time I cried was when buried my cat that was ran over. It was a hot summer in California and I guess it was hiding under a car to keep cool. I loved that little guy. I'm feeling really sad right now thinking about it.
Hopefully it's just some swelling that is preventing him from moving his legs right now.
Keeping my fingers crossed for ya.
Kitties are tough. Mine surprise me all the time.
Thanks to everyone for your kind words, unfortunately he lost his fight this morning. I did get to the vets office in time to say goodbye to him.
RIP Fred, thanks for being our buddy, and such a good boy. I love you.

I'm really sorry to hear that.

I'm sorry. I'm glad you got to say goodbye to him.
He is at peace now. We put our pet dachshund of 14 years to sleep this spring. Right before I buried him, I opened up the blanket he was wrapped in to take one last look at him. It did me good to see him "sleeping", and out of pain. It really helped me get closure.
