Don't worry - I'll smack her if it comes to that. You do not sell guitars to buy shoes. You skimp on food to buy shoes! ~Mrs Tekky 06-03-08~

this can't be true!! how awesome is this?
I'm a huge extreme fan, nuno is one of the best on my list, somehow his style sounds so unique to me...

someone knows if they got an up to date website or are gonna go on tour again?

I'd be very greatful for all kind of info on this!!

        thx for this thread mayday!!
Go to Metal Sludge Gossip Boards once in awhile, Micha. This has been on there for months. They're actually doing a summer tour here in the States, don't know if they're going to Europe though.

And yeah, Nuno is one helluva great guitarist. Love his solos, particularly the one for Warheads. Hell, all of his solos are top-quality. I think that's part of why VH3 was a flop. It sounded like Extreme with a lesser guitarist to me! Just points out how good Nuno really is!

Great news, and surprising. VH1 did a Reunited show in which they attempted to reunite Extreme, and Nuno was dead set against it at that time.

Blabbermouth.net had a blurb on that the other day. It seems that Extreme was planning on a reunion at the time and wanted to do it on their terms.

so they played that tune then, sweetNuno and extreme were a perfect combo and his tone on the porno and 3 sides albums is organicly amazing-realy cut through the mix having it dry rather than dripping in digital like the 1st album and most other metal bands at the time.extreme got booed at donnington..lol..when they played hole hearted and more than words-mind you pantera where on the same bill and i noticed their fans where a little loud and throwing around big plastic bottles full of piss into the crowd!anyway Nuno ROCKS

Thanks RacerX ! Well, it isn't very far... Unfortunately, I've got plans for the Holiday weekend, so tonight is out... I wonder if they're going to play NYC ??? Have fun if you go Wayniac! I've seen Extreme 3 times myself, and Nuno slayed each time. He's a huge favorite of mine. His sense of rhythm it light-years beyond his contemporaries....

Man, Extreme was a killer band..Nuno had his shit together..

saw them twice live years ago..nuno was a monster..

is he still, he seemed to appear "bored" including yawns and stuff..was that just a schtick...and moody, he was known to throw guitars and shit..

I always like the band..in fact I put some on for the kid last week.."do you wanna play" is nuts..!!!!

Gary just didn't cut the mustard in VH, but was cool in his own camp!!

First time I saw Extreme they were opening up for Bon Jovi. I went there exclusively to see Nuno, I left being blown away........by Bon Jovi! Nuno didn't even do a guitar solo. I was disappointed but I'd go again, maybe it was an off night for them. I saw Boston VERY early in their career, just before the first album came out...they were GREAT!

Spoono Gettin'snort is a very accomplished guitarist. I always liked his really great use of muting notes with his palm on the bridge all the time. I liked the tone on the 1st album the best. I can't take Gary Cherone though, he's kind of a headache. They are all great players.
Not helping the situation since 1965!

Nuno is a rhythm machine too tho.. I dig his syncapation, slight nuances and random fills as much as his solos. He puts forth alot of power in how he plays.

I saw Exteme with Enuf Z'Nuf (if that's spelled right, who cares if it 'iznt') - Nuno was a machine! Fantastic band.

Justin - email me at [email protected] if you want, I have some extreme boots, be more than happy to send you a copy of play with me live if you want. It's not from this tour (it's from 90 or something like that) but it still rips!
