What does "$5 over $8 under" mean?

      Never seen that out here...

Hmmm....interesting. Preachers Daughter just won't be the same with a dude singing it though.:ROTF:

I was really hoping against hope that she'd be singing with you guys. I'll try and make it.

I saw Widow at this show in NYC. I chatted with John and Cristoff for a bit too. They are great guys.

I got to the show around 9:45 I think. Icarus Witch was finishing up their set. Never heard them before and they were pretty good.

Widow started up around 10:20 or so. HOLY CRAP. I really like these guys and listen to their 2 discs, Midnight Strikes and On Fire, all the time. John had his yellow with black bevels RR set to stun like a sonic phazer, and Cristoff was playing a Fernandez strat type. John is a wailing rhythm player. His picking hand was moving so fast it was a blur. He was great on the double leads also. Cristoff is a sick lead player. I mean SICK!!! He makes that stuff look effortless.

John handled the clean vocals and Cristoff handled the growls. The show had a "raw" feel compared to the studio discs, and I dug it. It looked like the guys were having alot of fun at their first NYC gig. I had reservations about John singing Li Li's parts, but that evaporated when they played the tunes. It worked, and sounded great. They only got to play for about 35 minutes. I could have listened to them all night.

I am just sorry that they couldn't share this with more local JCF'ers. I am sure I was the only JCF'er there, and I can think of a bunch that live within an hour or less of NYC.

Thank You to WIDOW for traveling all this way and for a great time. John, thanks for the shirt too, you rock. I wish I could have come to Brooklyn with you guys, but I would have missed the ferry back for sure.

IF YOU DON'T LIKE WIDOW, YOU DON'T LIKE METAL!
