Dilana is dirty and could use a bath? That's why she can't front? Well, tell that to Wendy O., Siouxsie, Exene and every other skank that did a great job fronting bands in the 80s. That chick from Yeah Yeah Yeahs is a skank too, and I can't think of a better leading female singer in rock today.

I agree that singing a Cyndi Lauper song is besides the point, but Blondie rocks. The only problem with that band is that they marketed it as Disco for some reason even though it had a punkcore sound. Then they layered Harry's voice way over the instruments that were barely audible (and that horrendous late 70s keyboard sound). A few years ago I heard a band that played Blondie tunes note for note, chord for chord, but they just turned the amps up loud. They sounded great. Never was a disco band, maybe pop, but more like it punk, especially the early stuff. I'm sure you know all this but I still think they're relevant.

They hate Jill for sure...She is a pro and they have to really stretch to rag on her...I think it started with Dave. She probably turned his newly single ass down.

Zayra is on there simply because she is the most downloaded one on there...Because of her freak show appeal. They will keep her as long as they can...(No I'm not giving an opinion here...It's the reason she is there...for real) They are having a hard time finding excuses...Finally said they want to see what she will do next. I would be insulted if I was kicked off the show and heard that they just want to keep someone around for their WTF appeal.

Magni fucked up the high notes in "Clocks" royally and he knew it. It messed with the rest of the song too. However because they had this heart felt surprise of bringing him fam to see him they couldn't feed the voters anything to have him end up on the bottom. Totally set that up and he had immunity that night.

Josh is not suited for rock...Period!

Storm Always has shaky vocals. Great performer and when she nails it its great, but still mostly shaky.

Dilana...Total package...Who cares if she has pricings...Its rock! She is hot, humble, got the moves and is vocally confident every night. She owns it every time. I don't know how anyone can tell if she is "Dirty" or not?!? and who cares!

To give you an idea of how much they cut from the show...The taping the night Gilby was sexually assaulted by Jill they filmed from 4 till 7. Lots of editing to suit the networks needs and make some things seem more controversial than they really were.

Jason is a good musician who played but didn't contribute to Metallica...Then there is Voivod...Obscure Canadian prog metal pioneers...Not really relevant. Ecobrain...sucked ass and no one liked them. Flotsam & Jetsam was cool though...lol

Tommy Lee is a good rock drummer, but "hardly" the reason he has achieved such celebrity status.

I jammed with Gilby long ago..I was in a band with his little bro Jamie Clarke, he was a good drummer..Gilby just moved to LA and was in a fag band called "candy"..he came home to visit his mom and bro in Broadview Heights..when we jammed..

This show is a bit like a car accident...It would be cool to have a show like this that was the real deal...Not based totally on ratings. but, that wont happen since money has to be made.

Imagine having real icons auditioning a couple dozen people who all had the total package...They are out there so there is no excuse for the high ratio of crap that ends up on that show.

The cast if fed BS just to keep them pumped and hopeful. I feel sorry for em.

Yeah...Thats it. It's not as pop as American Idol and the house band can play...but, still some of the singers they seached the entire world over for are were just crap.

I saw a couple of singers during the Australian audition that were flatout incredible. And then I saw that Toby was our representative on the show. He's not bad, but nothing to a couple of guys that didn't get through. Maybe his look was just more marketable, maybe his performance during the "answers to world peace" and swimsuit sections were better, or maybe these other singers could bring themselves to jump through the Rockstar hoops when it came down to it

Sad thing about this show is that there are local guys here that I know (and I'm sure most of you do too) that could kick ass on ALL these posers for the show. Here are my predictions:

1) No chick is going to win this. They are on for the TnA factor, that's all.

2) The human skunk dude will probably win. I hope not, but he's the weirdest of the guys and has more attitude than the rest.

3) this show reinforces my beliefs that many bands are filled with talent-deprived but luck-enhanced members.

BTW, I met Jason back when he was with Metallica a few times - VERY cool guy and down to earth.
