Football.. also has the word ball in it..

So it could also mean a game you play only with your balls.

oh, you mean that loosely rugby-derived game, with all the mom-approved safety equipment, pads, helmets, etc so junior doesn't hurt himself getting tackled?

In most cases, "Junior" is in constant risk of having a man in excess of 300 lbs. jump into his spine. I'd wear pads, too. Several years ago a major university did a study where it was discovered that the impact an NFL linebacker can deliver is something akin to being hit by a car.

If players in the NFL didn't wear pads, they would only last a season or two before they were forced to retire due to injury. People would die on the field every season.

Zidane is easily the best player of the last 15 years, greatest of his generation, with Maradonna and a select few preceeding him.

He's also the player I loved watching the most, he had such a laid-back attitude when he was passing and doing highly technical stuff, all in a wink of an eye, it didn't seem at all hard for him, he was just having fun.
You took too much, man. Too much. Too much.

If I were the French coach Id make sure he turned up floating in a river. Had he played the full game would Italy still have won? Maybe but having your best player taken right out removed all hope. He may have cost them the World Cup, so to the river with him..............

When I was living in Australia, there was an Aussie rugby player that made it to the NFL as a lineman. When interviewed by Aussie sportscasters which was the more brutal sport, he said it was no contest. The injuries that he saw in the NFL were horrific compared to rugby.

I agree 100% and respect him for admiting this. He should have controlled himself and then beat the hell outta him after the game though or done something less obvious. HE acted to viscerally.
