Remember if I lost 50 LBS, Id get a Harley?

Well, I didn't lose 50 (holding at 35lbs) and I didn't get the Harley. My wife and I started talking about it and both of us realized that with three boys, a bike is not in the cards for us right now. So our focus changed. We started thinking about getting another Cuda or Challenger, but prices are crazy for e bodies right now. So I started looking while in Carlisle for the All Chrysler Nationals a few weeks ago. Oddly enough, we ended up with this baby on eBay. Kinda fitting as I sold my last Cuda on eBay a few years ago.



It's no where near mint, but I think it's going to be a great driver. It's not a real R/T. It is however a highly optioned 69 Charger with a 383, 4 barrel, automatic into a Sure grip rear, but I'm not sure of the ratio yet. I should get the braodcast sheet along with the title this week.

It's an older restoration showing signs of wear, but all of the major trouble areas found on most mopars are in great shape. It has it's fair share of dings and scratches, but I plan on getting it painted (same color) this winter.

We dont' have the car yet. It should be here in a about two weeks or so. Looks like I owe my wife 15 more pounds! Honestly though, all of my other cars were my cars. This is the first one that will belong to US. I can't tell you how pumped I am that my wife is into this now.

I guess I should change my name to sambencharger!

How hard did you try finding an e body? Are they really that tough to score? I'm still trying to decide if I should keep or sell. My neighbor across the street is getting his (HUGE ASS) garage built in his back yard as I type this. He's huge into mopars and muscle cars in general, so it will be really nice having someone nearby who's into the hobby as well.

And yes, that's a bad-ass car. My neighbor's name on chatrooms is "redcarguy" so you know he'd love it LOL!

I've been looking for an e body for a while and there isn't that much out there that's decent priced right now. The Market is insane. I saw a 71 cuda convertable shell at Carlise with some parts to restore for $40k! 72 - 74 cudas and challengers are getting over 20k in mint shape and that is way more than we were going to spend. 70 - 71 (the really desirable years) are either rotted to the gills (no pun) or 50k to 90k (and thats not including convertables, hemi's and 6pak cars)

The thing is, I've always loved this genertaion B bodies and yet, I've never owned one.

The only good deals out there are those rare finds from a friend of a friend. Keep you eyes open. And If you have one, DON'T SELL!!!!

Bad ass man... 35 lbs is nothing to sneeze at. Keep up the great work. BTW, nice muscle car. I am sure there are going to be some scratches on the city streets.

It looks like it has tinted windows. So does that mean it has a/c?

Thumbwheel radio (out of the car though), A/C. but not hooked up. I'll have all of the parts though. 3-Speed Wipers, Hood Turn Signal Indicators, Roof Drip Rail Moldings, Light Package, Front Disc Brakes, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Bucket Seats w/ Buddy Seat, Heavy Duty Automatic Transmission (on the column). I'm getting the braodcast sheet with the title this week so I can dig deeper.

they weren't just "Bridge Out" - they often flew off dirt ramps, either over a river or over another car driving on a lower road. It defied even my simple child's logic at the time.

hey, why is it that any cop car chasing after the A-Team would not crash into the back of a parked car, but instead would flip over it in a spectacular spiral roll? I could imagine that may be possible if you drove up the front of a low, aerodynamic sports car (maybe...) but not if you plowed into the back of a family sedan.
