What's the big deal about Acacia Avenue? I've been past there a few times when i've had to do some work in North London but it looks like an average London council estate to be honest.

It's 22 Acacia Ave so I figure he is talking about her apt or house. Plus that song was written like 16 years ago so she is probably over the hill by now :ROTF:

Why would they NOT need the third guitar? Yeah, sorta not needed I guess, as my band has "sorta" pulled off Maidenwith just me playing alone... BUT.... It didn't sound right at all.. Two is better, and well three is perfect coverage.

They are very often doing two guitar harmonies with rythm guitar under them... Hence, three guitars.

If you want it like the original release, it does the job well.

Yeah that would be Charlotte the Harlot. The first album "Iron Maiden" had a song Charlotte the Harlot, number of the beast she shows up in 22 acacia ave. A couple more songs later in Maidens albums references are made towards her too

Actually yeah the album came out in March of 82 to be precise but I have documentation that states the song was written by them in late 1980 early 81 during the last tour with Paul Dianno...so my bad....time flys....guess I need to add 10 more years... I saw Maiden for the first time on that tour...

Actually, Adrian left first and Janick Gers played on No Prayer For The Dying and Fear Of The Dark, then Bruce left. And Bruce put out Balls To Picasso and Skunkworks without Adrian. Adrian didn't join him until the fourth album, Accident Of Birth. And Bruce's last name is Dickinson.

You're right, I stand corrected, I had things a little out of order. Thats what my advanced age (44) can do to my memory!
