Yeah, the Drovers are still in, along w/ LoMenzo - the tour doesn't start 'til September.

I doubt I'll go. Pretty weak lineup.

I'll be at the Milwaukee show. Went last year and it was great! I think its on a Thursday night. That sucks, but did you check out the dates. They are playing like 5 to 6 nights a week. Its a crazy schedule.

what is it about LOG that people don't like..I would assume the vocals..they can be cool for a few songs but after a while it's it can get grating on me..the dude has ONE voice..I really like the riffs/drums and the arragements..just curious..is it for the fact that the are played on MTV often on HBB..and you feel they fell into the "sell -out" status..

I asked this a few times..but nobody ever elaborated on this one..just curious is all..

I don't hear LOG doing anything special or unique. I feel like I've heard it all before from other bands. The vocalist is very one dimensional. I feel like I can listen to 2 songs in a row and no more. They do have some great riffs but I don't want to listen to music that I only like parts of. For example, I cannot stand Thin Lizzy's songs. Some great solos, sure, but I don't want to hear the stuff leading up to the solo. I'm sure Europe and Stryper have some great riffs and melodies somewhere but I don't want to swim through the crap to get to it.

For me, it's the vocals... just don't like them. And I don't like the guitar parts either, they try to sound like Slayer too much imo (I'm not a huge fan of Slayer either, so that's probably the root of my dislike for LOG).

I'm going cause I live in the middle of nowhere and they're playing down the street at a Saloon where they generally only get burned out old hippy bands to play, I'd go there to see Overkill, AE, Opeth or The Dave Mustaine Experience by themselves.

I have XM radio and on Liquid Metal they're always playing Lamb of God, Shadows Fall, Hatebreed, etc. It's so predictable. Cool riff..double bass...screams! And more screams! It's gotten to the point that before the singing starts, I start to make up words and scream them with just a hint of melody, and 99% of the time, I'm dead on as to the phrasing of the words. I'm wondering if these bands think they're doing something original or if they're trying really hard to fit within a certain genre of music. Yes, I know Hatebreed is not LOG, but from a singing (or lack thereof) standpoint, there's little that separates them.

I just got the new Beyond Fear CD (Ripper Owens' new band). It's pretty good, not great. Many of the riffs and songs have a LOG type feel to them but the difference is there's actual singing and screaming, and none of it feels like it's rehashed from other bands.
