Ok, I've got a library of about 1500 songs on my PC that are in wma format. In order for iTunes to see those songs, I need to convert them to mp3. The probem I am having is that the software I am finding will not convert the tags at all and I am forced to update the artist/year/album/etc on the converted mp3's. Does anyone know of any software that will convert wma to mp3 as well as the tags so I don't lose that information? If is freeware/shareware that's great but I don't mind spending a couple of bucks.

    thanks!

Tunebite will convert them. You'll need to set the bit rate a bit higher on the MP3 conversion or you may lose too much quality converting from a more compressed format back to mp3.

go to download.com - there are a number of wma->mp3 convertors that preserve tags.
