Back to this Mel Gibson thing. This is starting to remind me of the whole Rush Limbaugh episode.

For years he was just a talk show host bitching about politics. Somehow he ended up on an NFL show. He made a statement about a black quarterback, saying he's not that impressive as a quarterback and the only reason he's getting any attention is because he's black.... 24 hours later Rush was out of a job and can't seem to stay out of trouble with the law now.

What makes his more prevalent is that he is a billionaire who makes blockbuster movies. It doesn't make his more correct or better than yours, but prevalent, it's who he is.
You know the saying about drunk people-
"en Vino Veritas" - sometimes people do mean what they say when they're drunk, this would mean nothing if it wasn't one of the most high profile people in the world. /at least in entertainment. If it was a local town drunk it's nothing, but it's overmagnified because it's Mel Gibson. How could the press not overmagnify it? It's the media driven world we reside in now and forever. That's why I try to only post at work-lol, I like living on the weekends a lot better than being strapped to this stupid ass keyboard.
