BCB was cozy, cool, and out of character as it was a bit overcast. Need a blanket tonite when I go to bed.

We had up to 38 celsius here for 4 weeks. We are not used to that - dammit. We don´t have a/c´s in our houses, only in cars. I went mad slowly. My job requires business suites. I felt agony.

The one thing I did learn, being from the California where the sun shines all the time, is don't leave anything outside because it could rain any minute.

            How's the winters?
We sometimes go without snow almost until February here, pretty mild winters.. aah, I like it that way BUT, the weather can be pretty shitty

I was wondering... how well insulated are the American houses in the really hot areas, like West Texas? Thick insulation in the walls, like 200mm? 300mm over the ceiling?

Yes, that question is very related to this topic

Can we please turn the sun off!

                > Whenever it gets bad here in Tennessee like it has been for what seems like a month now,I remember what my friend Rod told me about the 2 summers he spent in Iraq when he was in the Marine Reserves. He said you actually felt comfortable there when it was 125 in the shade, cause out in the sun it was 135,and he was a half hour from the place he said recorded the highest temperature in human history at 148. He added the humidity level was about like most spots in Florida. Imagine 135 degrees with 90% humidity, then add another 10 degrees because you're humping an M249 SAW with 3 100 round belts,a Kevlar helmet,a raid vest with a 10 pound ceramic plate in the front and back, and about 25 pounds worth of other shit. All that makes 100 degrees with 90% seem pleasant. Tommy D.

It's been around 34 up here in the Great White North for close to a week. That's before the humidex. The humidex adjustment puts it at 48 degrees Celcius. I don't know what that is in Farenheit, but it's fucking hot.

You have 90% humidity? the heat index in MN last weak was in the 110+ range with humidity that high. I was cooking on the grill and it was very uncomfortable at 11:00pm at night. I guess I got a taste of Texas last week in more than just beef..no thanks... not w/o AC.
