If I am going to get all sweaty and have my body rubbed against a bunch of agressive males screaming,"Fuck, yeah!”, I better already beaten down, with a shank against my throat, behind the industrial dryer in the State Penn.

Ya.. does he use an Asshall? As a long time Marshall user.. I resent that remark...
Pantera.. '93
I have not been out to see many metal bands since the 90's.
Mosh pits used to be a way to channel aggression.. but it is a very bad playground/sandbox when people get killed. I don't get into the fray and will avoid it.Last edited by charvelguy; 08-13-2006, 11:50 AM.

I would say Sepultura in Albuquerque a few years back with Pantera, Prong!! There were more surfers than people holding them up!! Was crazy, got a black eye too! Gotta admit though when I saw the Cure like 10 years ago, there was no moshing "obviously," but, I have never been squeezed so much!! Lotta passed out people for that one!! Lol!I love admins!

I'm 18 and I fuckin' love mosh pits! I saw Rancid not too long ago and that pit was like you guys talk about in the old days, pure fun with hot chicks and dope! But I saw Shadows Fall last week with abunch of hardcore bands...Holy Fuck!! It was brutal, but I loved it. A few days ago I saw All That Remains (kick ass band) w/ Walls of Jericho and some other hardcore bands. That pit was completely over the top. I still loved it, and crowd surfed, as I do at every concert!! Maybe I'll look back and regret it, but right now I love the mosh pits and crowd surfing. Next month Flogging Molly!!!!

Any Ozzfest. Pick one they all are a hurtin'.
Overkill and Death Angel... Early 90's in NYC.... Ouch, Hurts thinking about it.
Outdoors. Pantera in the parking lot of the Meadowlands Arena.... Opened for Skid Row on the Slave to the Grind tour.
They had to stop playing so chairs could be removed from the floor area... Or I should say what was left of the chairs in the floor area.
Metal chairs ziptied together and Pantera = Phil Jumping off the stage to KILL anyone for throwing chairs at said band.
I dont think anyone was throwing them directly at the band but it happened a few times and it pissed him off good.
Then Skid Row followed and Sebastian got as mans on the stage as he could and had everone including himself stage dive all at once.

Anthrax / Overkill / Testament all during the late 80 at Lamours in brooklyn.
I'd only go in the pit about a half dozen times during the show because I was there to see the band. Minor bruises, nothing serious.
My first experience was during the filming of the "Indians" video for Anthrax. The fast part of the song hit and the place turned in to a zoo. I didn't know what was going on. It was a lot of fun.

Oh definitly! Floggin Molly is pretty insane, same with Dropkick Murphy's.
I've seen both live at least twice, and Molly three times. The place blew up each and every time. Even outdoors it was complete and utter pandemonium. People started climbing the lighttowers and jumped down right into the pit and all kinds of crazy shit. You took too much, man. Too much. Too much.
